DOUBLE WINNERS! EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH: JENNIFER EDWARDS AND ELZIE ROSEBUD Congratulations to Jennifer Edwards, senior custodian and Elzie Rosebud, plumber on being selected as the September and October 2017 winners (pictured above with Executive Vice Chancellor Dr. Kennard Brown, far right, Emile J. David, associate vice chancellor, left and Kenneth Bradshaw, director of facilities, right). Jennifer Edwards is “knocking it out of the park” since being transferred to the Hyman building in July of this year. She has received many positive comments about her work and shows true dedication everyday. Jennifer is highly regarded by leadership and staff in the Hyman building. Jennifer’s cleaning routine is proven to be above “standard” custodial cleaning. Job well done Jennifer! Elzie Rosebud recently jumped into quick action to contain a three inch live leak on the second floor of the Link building. Elzie stopped what he was doing, gathered key personnel to work together on the issue and pro-actively cleared classes in the building prior to proceeding with the repairs. He replaced a three inch cast iron pipe and cleaned the area after all work was complete, all while minimizing disruption during repairs. Because of his dedication the job was completed quickly and effectively. Great job Elzie!

SPECIAL RECOGNITION TO ALL EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH NOMINEES:

Employees were provided detailed information and allowed to ask questions during the training classes. Facilities has more than 200 employees and we appreciate the extra effort put forth to ensure our employees receive training on the importance of information security.
