NEW FACULTY TRANSPLANTATION

PRIYANKA JETHWANI, MD

Dr. Jethwani joins the UTHSC Department of Surgery as an Assistant Professor in the Division of Transplantation. She is a transplant nephrologist at the Methodist University Hospital Transplant Institute. Jethwani received her medical degree from Aga Khan Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan. She is a member of the American Board of Internal Medicine. Jethwani completed her internal medicine residency at the University of Connecticut in Farmington, CT and a clinical fellowship in nephrology at Yale University in New Haven, CT.

Dr. Kruchvesky will join the UTHSC Department of Surgery as an Assistant Professor in the Division of Plastic Surgery. His surgical training includes a general surgery residency at Hadassa Medical Center in Jerusalem, Israel and an acute burn care fellowship at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre’s Ross Tilley Burn Centre in Toronto, Canada.

Thoracic Surgery

JANE ZHAO, MD

Dr. Zhao will join the UTHSC Department of Surgery as an Assistant Professor in the Division of Thoracic Surgery. She graduated from the University of Texas Medical School in Houston, TX and then completed both a general surgery residency and clinical informatics fellowship at the University at Buffalo. She is currently finishing a cardiothoracic surgery fellowship at The Ohio State University.
