I decided to pursue a combination of Health Studies: Population Health and Computer Science. Health Studies: Population Health intrigued me because it focuses on understanding and improving the health outcomes of entire communities. On the other hand, Computer Science captured my interest due to its potential to transform various fields, including health care. I recognized that technology and data-driven approaches are revolutionizing the way we analyze, manage, and utilize health information. In building my degree, my aim was to bridge the gap between these two disciplines.
— Jenna Jiang (Beijing, China)
Major: Health Studies: Population Health, Double Minor: Computer Science and Economics for Management Studies
I have always wanted to become a doctor! Thus, with a particular interest in pharmacology, immunology, and virology, my program sets a strong foundation for my post-graduate plan of medical school through my knowledge in field research, analytical statistics, and interests in the life sciences.
— Kauel Rajeshkumar Brahmbhatt (Nairobi, Kenya)
Double Major: Biochemistry (co-op) and Molecular Biology, Immunology & Disease
I loved the fact that I was given the opportunity to pursue a double major in both the Arts and Sciences. I chose my program of study because Biochemistry and Music have always been my two passions. My initial thought when applying to universities was to study only Biochemistry. I had no idea that U of T Scarborough would allow (or, in fact, encourage) me to study a combination of Arts and Sciences.
— Ananya Balaji (Singapore & United States)

I grew up playing in the rain in a large backyard, and it was thanks to this exposure to nature that I developed a deep curiosity and passion for science. This led me to value and take advantage of any opportunity to be near natural environments.
