For thousands of years, it has been the traditional land of the Huron-Wendat, the Seneca, and the Mississaugas of the Credit. Today, this meeting place is still the home to many Indigenous people from across Turtle Island and we are grateful to have the opportunity

Indigenous House
Imani
The Imani Black Academic Mentorship program is a key outreach initiative on campus. Since 2005, more than 300 U of T Scarborough students have provided tutoring, Afrocentric workshops, and educational programs to more than 1,500 local middle and high school students. The aim is to promote access to postsecondary education and support the academic growth of these students.
U of T Scarborough at Howard University
U of T Scarborough’s Black Student Engagement embarked on a journey to Howard University, a distinguished historically Black research institution. This trip was more than a visit; it was an exploration of a place where history, culture, and academic excellence intertwine. It provided our students with a unique perspective on their potential, their heritage, and the shared legacy of Black excellence.
U of T Scarborough’s commitment to creating inclusive and welcoming spaces for all learners continues with the opening of Indigenous House. This new gathering space is dedicated to learning about Indigenous culture and ways of knowing across Turtle Island. It honours the lands, cultures, traditions and knowledge systems of the peoples on whose traditional territory our campus is located. It also fosters partnership and reconciliation with Indigenous communities based on sovereignty, reciprocity, mutual trust, understanding and respect.
Healthy campus.
At U of T Scarborough, we believe in nurturing both the mind and body to create a vibrant, supportive and inclusive campus environment.
Complementing this, our top-tier athletic facilities, including the Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre (TPASC), provide all students with opportunities to engage in a wide range of physical activities, from varsity sports to intramural competitions, to cheering on the Scarborough Shooting Stars from the stands. Together, our wellness and athletic initiatives ensure that every student has the resources and support needed to thrive both academically and personally.
Healthy Campus
U of T Scarborough focuses on promoting wellness for all students through collaboration, empathy, empowerment, inclusivity and support. Our campus-wide initiatives emphasize understanding and addressing student needs, providing culturally sensitive and accessible care, and fostering a non-judgmental environment. We empower students with choices and opportunities for personal growth and well-being.

The University of Toronto does not have the capacity to admit all applicants who meet the minimum general and program-specific requirements. We aim to admit the best possible students based on academic performance and potential, and select students for admission based on competitive strength.
The “approximate grade requirement” provided for each program indicates the admission average for that program in the previous academic year. This mark range will vary each year according to the number and quality of applicants. It is not a “cut-off point” or enrolment limit. It is a general guideline only. Depending on the program, there may be minimum grade requirements for prerequisite subjects.
