ENJOY A UWAA MEMBER BASH ON RED SQUARE On Friday, April 20, the UWAA will be hosting a huge member-appreciation event, featuring world-class live jazz, food and drinks, and UW celebrity guests, all under an enormous pavilion on Red Square. It’s sure to be a magical evening to remember, so come join us! It’s all part of HuskyFest, but this party is just for members and their guests. WHAT IS HUSKYFEST?
A celebration of all things Husky, HuskyFest (April 19-21, 2012) is a three-day, campus-wide festival showcasing all the amazing things going on at the UW. Part of the UW’s yearlong 150th anniversary celebration, HuskyFest will feature 150th-themed exhibits, open houses, guided tours, academic showcases, and at its heart, a huge pavilion on Red Square for live performances. MEMBER EVENTS Spring is arts time on campus. UW World Series brings top talents from all over the world to Seattle, and the UWAA is there to help you make the most of it. Four-time Grammy nominee Cedric Watson is one of the hottest Zydeco musicians around. He and his band are coming April 28, and members save 20% on tickets. Interested in something a bit more classical? Curious about the beautiful works of art that grace Meany Hall?
