There are several questions which immediately arise when considering the notion of ‘reinvention’ in the context of artistry. First and foremost, we must ask whether there can be any such thing as true reinvention; is it possible for someone to become something other than what they are, or are we merely referring to a shift in their existing personality? If we proceed under the assumption that reinvention is possible, then the next thing we must ask ourselves is how to recognise it, and then what, if anything, it denotes.
