A MESSAGE FROM THE DIRECTOR OF ATHLETICS
Greetings from Madison! I am thrilled to be in position to lead and serve my alma mater as Director of Athletics and I am grateful to have the opportunity to share my vision with you. Donors to Wisconsin Athletics literally create the opportunities we provide to student-athletes. I talk a lot about the concept of “elevating lives.” Your gifts to our athletic department transform and elevate the lives of thousands of young people and for that we are eternally thankful. My first several months on the job have been both exhilarating and challenging. After speaking with and visiting so many people, I am more confident than ever that we have some of the nation’s most passionate and committed supporters. We always say that the differentiator inside our department is our people. The same goes with those who support our department. Donors to Badger Athletics play a substantial role in helping us to remain competitive on and off the fields of play. Our student-athletes cannot realize their dreams without your generosity. I ask that you consider either becoming a donor or finding a way to become even more deeply involved in supporting our mission. Again, thank you for all you do to elevate the lives of Badger student-athletes! On, Wisconsin!
Chris McIntosh Director of Athletics

THE DIVERSITY, EQUITY, AND INCLUSION IN ATHLETICS FUND ABOUT THE CAMPAIGN Wisconsin Athletics is proud to take part in the Raimey-Noland Campaign, UW-Madison’s fundraising effort to bolster diversity, equity, and inclusion on our campus. In the Athletic Department’s steadfast effort to instill positive change within our community, we have created the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in Athletics Fund. For the first time ever our alumni, donors and community partners have an opportunity to directly impact and foster a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment within our nationally renowned Athletic Department. Together, our goal is to provide funding that will empower, uplift, and provide resources for our traditionally underrepresented Badgers. This fund has been established as a permanent endowed fund to ensure a lasting impact on campus experiences and mental health, career readiness, and staff and coach recruitment.

CELEBRATING 50 YEARS OF TITLE IX Nothing has had a more positive impact for women in collegiate sports and education than the passage of Title IX. This year marks the 50th Anniversary of this landmark legislation that was enacted by Congress and signed into law on June 23, 1972. To celebrate, we are launching a year-long celebration to honor and elevate the contributions and accomplishments of Wisconsin’s female student-athletes, alumni, coaches, and staff. With events and moments planned throughout the calendar year, Wisconsin Athletics will find unique ways to tell female stories, celebrate with the community and campus and highlight past and present accomplishments of teams and individuals.
