MY STORY
There is so much to experience in this beautiful city, from extraordinary fjord landscapes and thundering waterfalls, to rich cultural traditions and vibrant urban life. We're here to help you make the most of it all, and we hope you’ll enjoy your best vacation yet.
MY BERGEN
A native of Brazil, I put down roots in Norway in 2009 when I bought my first apartment in Bergen. I was drawn to this coastal city for its small town feel, breathtaking scenery, and enthralling cultural heritage. Over time, the joy of meeting new and interesting people led me to purchase more apartments in Bergen’s most desirable locations and share them with travelers from around the world. And with that, Mi Casa Tu Casa Vacation Rentals was born. It is our unique privilege to help guests experience the perfect stay in Bergen. Whether you're looking for a quiet escape in a quaint neighborhood or a lively getaway in the center of the action, let us help you find accommodations to suit your needs.
Modern and immaculate, the apartments are equipped with everything you’ll need for a comfortable stay, from fresh towels and toiletries to hotel-quality linens. When you’re ready to explore Bergen, find the city’s major attractions and transportation hubs right outside your door. Experience the dramatic fjord landscape by air or sea. Hike the majestic mountain ranges surrounding city centre. And stroll the historic harbor district lined with colorful wooden houses. Looking for specific recommendations? Just ask us! It's what we're here for.
Come experience Bergen’s charms, and enjoy the vacation of a lifetime.
And so, without any further intro, here's my Bergen in 3's...
EDUARDO'S INSIDE GUIDE TO BERGEN... A Quick Orientation... Our vacation properties are centrally located in Bergen’s city centre, within walking distance of many shops, restaurants, and bars. The apartments are easily accessible from the airport via public transportation, including the light rail, direct bus, or taxi. You'll also find grocery and convenience stores mere minutes from your door, making it easy to stock up on anything you may need during your time in Bergen.
My 3 all-time favorite places to eat... Theatro
Spisekroken
For quality dishes and exceptional service in stylish yet informal surrounds, pay a visit to Theatro, a lively locale in the heart of Bergen. With a varied menu inspired by some of the world’s greatest metropolises, there’s something to satisfy all palates.
Dine like a local at Spisekroken, a cozy neighborhood fixture since 1996. One of Bergen’s most popular restaurants, Spisekroken welcomes new and returning visitors for fine wine and traditional Norwegian dishes made from locally sourced ingredients.
3 for the kids See Bergen from Above...
Ride a scenic cable car to the top of Mount Fløyen, and enjoy panoramic views of Bergen’s city centre. Or fly between the trees at Høyt & Lavt, an aerial adventure park offering zipline and climbing tours.
Felix Cheer on your favorite football team at Felix, a waterfront restaurant and sports bar serving delicious burgers and a wide selection of beer. Or grab a table outdoors and enjoy live music performed daily by Bergen’s rising local artists.
3 for the explorer Hike the Mountains...
Majestic mountains surround the city of Bergen and provide endless opportunities for outdoor adventure. Experience Bergen’s seven mountains with an advanced hike through steep hills or a casual stroll along scenic trails.
Get Educated...
Explore by Water...
Go Wild at Leos's Lekland...
Take to the Skies...
Spend an afternoon under the sea at Bergen Aquarium, home to Norwegian marine species and and exotic creatures from around the world. Or let your imagination run wild at VilVite Science Center’s interactive exhibitions.
Burn off some energy at Leo's Lekland, an indoor amusement park with slides, climbing structures, trampolines, and more. Sit and relax while the little ones run and play. Then, come together for an onsite family meal.
Get out on the water! View the fjords up close with a guided kayak tour through Herdlefjorden’s islands and reefs. Or experience Bergen from the sea, and enjoy smooth sailing aboard a scenic yacht trip.
Take to the skies for once-in-a-lifetime views of Bergen’s breathtaking scenery. Climb aboard a Fonnafly sightseeing helicopter, and look out over narrow fjords, dramatic mountains, dazzling glaciers, and magnificent waterfalls.
3 experiences not to miss... Picnic at Nordnes Park... Pack a picnic and make your way to charming Nordnes Park, located at the tip of the peninsula. A path winds through tall trees on either side - follow it to the end and you'll find a sunny stretch of grass where you can spread a blanket, unpack your lunch, and watch the boats sail by as a breeze blows in. On warmer days, you can cool down by jumping right into the sea.
1
Stoltzekleiven... Looking for a challenge? Take the steep hike up Stoltzekleiven, a strenuous but short trail in Mount Sandviken featuring more than 700 stone steps. One of the most popular hikes in Bergen, Stoltzekleiven affords breathtaking vistas of the mountains, the city, and the sea. Race to the top, or take it slow and enjoy the beautiful scenery. The view only gets better as you climb.
2
Smalahoven... Feeling adventurous? For a uniquely Norwegian experience, challenge your tastebuds with smalahoven, or sheep’s head. Historically served as an everyday meal in Western Norway, smalahoven is now considered a Norwegian delicacy. This distinctive dish is traditionally enjoyed before Christmas or special occasions, but seize the opportunity to try it while traveling in Bergen.

My 3 hidden gems...
Kippers Bar & Kafe...
Set in the USF cultural center on the Nordnes Peninsula, Kippers Bar & Kafe is a waterfront venue affording sensational views of the fjord and shipyard. Spend quiet mornings sipping coffee in the cozy cafe, or reserve a table on the terrace and watch the sun set over Bergen.
University Museum & Gardens...
Visit fascinating museums in Bergen’s city centre, located on the campus of the University of Bergen. Peruse the cultural history, natural history, and maritime collections that comprise the University Museum. Then, step outside and stroll the lush botanical gardens.
Tubakuba...
Venture through the trees to discover Tubakuba, an architecturally intriguing cabin in the woods. Its rabbit hole-esque design draws children and adults alike to explore the wonders within: spectacular cliffside views and a fabulous vantage point of Bergen below.
