RAIFFEISEN BANK BANK SIMULATOR Late last year, we had the opportunity to cooperate with one of the leading management consulting firms and Raiffeisen Bank Austria on a bank simulator aimed at training their staff for new and improved processes. The positive feedback that we received on the final product really blew us away.

The Customer Raiffeisen Bank Austria belongs to one of the leading banking houses in Europe and is the third biggest bank in Austria with over 55 thousand employees. With its continuous strive to provide better banking products and services to its customers, it is always looking at ways how to innovate. We are really happy we could help with our bit.

Solution Overview Raiffeisen Bank Austria has been given a new set of processes for loan application management as part of the solution provided by the consulting firm. In order for the bank employees to be trained in these new processes a secure bank environment simulator was needed to be created. Vacuum Labs have been asked to deliver this simulator for the first scheduled training in early January.

While working under considerable time constraints, we have been able to deliver the first prototype in just a matter of days. In the next few weeks, based on feedback and input from the client, we implemented new requirements and change requests to fully encompass the ever changing loan application processes.

Secure Integrated Solution The delivered simulator of the back office environment was then deployed on a secure intranet network composed of a couple of training computers and office appliances.

To make the simulation environment easy to setup and use, we have went the extra mile and created a Live DVD for the client. These Live DVD’s did not only include our software but also a pre configured operating system, a mail client and a web browser.

Bank employees have used the final bank environment simulator to fully test out the new loan management processes. Training managers were also able to see a wide set of useful intel and statistics on individual employee performances in different test scenarios.

Conclusion We are glad that we could have delivered an integrated solution, complete with a training session in cooperation with the consulting firm, right on time and in the defined scope.
