5 Proven Steps To Start Blogging February 27, 2015

Successful bloggers do things that unsuccessful bloggers do not do. There are steps to start blogging you should understand and implement into your blogging plans. Here are 5 of the steps!

Be Consistent Nothing will kill your blog faster than inconsistency. It is a hard habit to get back into once you get out of it. Most bloggers start off pretty excited and are adding new content on a consistent basis. Eventually you are going to hit the wall where blogging seems more like a job and not as fun. This could be due to writer’s block, your other career, not making any money or other things. I would suggest spending more time on promotion and less time on adding new content at that point. Instead of every day, maybe go to adding a new post every 3 days. Spend the rest of your time marketing your existing content.

Use Good Tools There are many tools at your fingertips you need to take advantage of. Use them and your blogging efforts will be more effective. For example, use Google Analytics to track your blog stats. This is free to sign up for and offers great insight into where your traffic is coming from, what they are doing when they get to your blog, etc. Another great resource is social bookmarking sites such as Only Wire and Social Marker. These let you easily post your new blog urls into various social sites. These backlinks are a great source of traffic and

search engine bait.

Call To Action Statement Use these on every post you make. Most bloggers miss this point. After someone has read your article or watched a video, tell them what you want them to do. Hopefully you are inviting them to subscribe to your email list. A call to action statement should be short and direct. Look at what other bloggers are doing to get ideas on how to craft your own.

Search Engine Optimization Bloggers quickly learn the value of getting some Google love. They can send a lot of traffic to your blog if they like you, or they can put your blog in the famous Google Sandbox. SEO is pretty simple when you know what keywords people are searching for. Use Google’s free keyword tool or buy a good keyword research software program. The one I use and will recommend is SECockpit. It’s the “Rolls-Royce” of keyword research tools. It will save you hours on finding profitable keywords. Use these words in your blog articles. It will help you find new blog article ideas and you can use them in the title and in the body of your article. Follow these proven steps to start blogging and you will be establishing habits for long term success! Click Here To Watch The Free Presentation Share this post and help spread the love!
