Context. The project was part of the initiative to rehabilitate the healthcare system through Public Private Partnership contracts. The design team selection was in an international competition in which we cooperated with Dutch Health Architects. Design Concept. The RFP required a phased construction. Therefore the volumes were detached physically, and the functions were grouped in specialty centers. The hospital street in the middle distributes the flow of patients and staff while providing relief. Project Details. The facilities included are 32 Operating Rooms, 10 X-rays, 2 CT Scans, 2 MRIs, Dialysis, 140 Critical Care beds, 240 Intermediate Care beds, and 866 General beds. The centers were: Trauma, Day Surgery, Cancer, Burn, Infertility, Transplant, Geriatric, and Pediatric.
