Context. Located on one of the main roads south of Tehran, the I-Land Hospitality Complex serves as an on-road stop, sales point, and exhibition of a mega-project for a new city. Design Concept. Acting as an Oasis in the desert, the buildings are arranged in a way visible from distances, while the bright colors of volumes are humbly in accordance with the environment. The facades are mainly solid white, with openings to the site of the mega-project, aka I-Land. There are also skylights to bring controlled minimum natural light inside. The hotel’s sheer volume is the symbol of the complex. Project Details. The program includes two restaurants, a retail area, a prayer room, a gas station, indoor and outdoor parking, a children’s play area, a 3-star hotel, and a showroom.
