Each summer, the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater (The Amp) in Vail is a community gathering place centered around worldclass entertainment. Featuring lively concerts, renowned dance, comedy and more, The Amp offers an array of cultural and entertainment offerings from May through October.

With the Gore Range to the east and Vail Mountain to the west, The Amp occupies a unique and cherished place not only in Colorado, but the world. It’s a place where locals and visitors come together and raise a toast to the beauty of a day wellspent in the Rocky Mountains while cultivating connections that make this such a strong, vibrant community. The 2,800capacity venue provides artists and guests with a uniquely Colorado setting to experience their favorite artists.

The Amp serves as the premiere, permanent outdoor venue in the Vail Valley and provides state-of-the-art facilities, permanent concessions areas that provide full food & beverage service,first-rate artist accommodations, diverse programming and various seating options including covered pavilion seating and general admission lawn seating.

The Amp is located within the Town of Vail and is operated by the nonprofit Vail Valley Foundation (VVF). We are grateful for our partnership with the Town of Vail and we are honored to work together with numerous partners to help this centerpiece of our community thrive, both culturally and financially, as we continue to deliver exceptional entertainment options all summer long.

ABOUT THE VAIL VALLEY FOUNDATION: The Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater (The Amp) has been operated by the nonprofit organization Vail Valley Foundation for over 30 years and has seen countless artists grace its stage. Within walking distance to the vibrant streets of Vail Village, The Amp is cherished by locals and is a bucket-list venue for everyone who enjoys live music, dance, and entertainment.

ABOUT VAIL, CO: While Vail is most-known for its 5,289 skiable acres, this ski town turns into an outdoor-lover’s dream in the summer with 1,100 acres of openspace and 350,000 surrounding acres of national forest.
