IMPACT REPORT |
A special Thank You to our... VAIL DANCE COMMITTEE
Dear Dance Enthusiast,
Susan Campbell, Chair
During our 2021 Festival, everything had a heightened sense of joy: to see live performances, to enjoy the amazing moments on and off the stage, and perhaps most of all, to see one another again.
Jill Plancher, Vice Chair
To envision, build, and host a major artistic festival during these times is not for the easily discouraged. It requires that we maintain a clear vision against headwinds of uncertainty.

Fortunately, we had the incredible Vail Dance Festival community to rely upon. You supported us all along the way. It was your generosity and passion for the arts that allowed us to navigate the incredible complexities of 2021 and produce one of most extraordinary Vail Dance Festivals ever. Within these pages you will see the story of how your support created a phenomenal positive impact on the arts in a year when we needed it most.

INTERN HONORED Longtime Vail Valley Foundation employee, Arte Davies, was integral in the success and growth of the Vail Dance Festival from 1994 through 2015. Arte spent much of his time working with Festival interns and training them in his philosophy and hospitality practices. After Arte’s passing, the Spirit of Arte Davies Award was established and is bestowed annually on one outstanding intern. This year Charlotte Parker received the honor.
