Take these steps to receive college credit for high school courses:

Explore career interests by taking a sequence of Career and Technical Education courses in high school.
2
Complete the required sequence of high school courses with a “C� or better.
3
Pass an assessment based on your selected career pathway.
4
Graduate from high school.
5
Enroll at Valencia and complete at least one college credit course.
6
After completing one course at Valencia, your Career Pathways credits will be awarded to your college transcript.

At Valencia, you do not have to pay for credits that you earn through Career Pathways. ELIGIBILITY FOR A BRIGHT FUTURES SCHOLARSHIP
Career Pathways credits taken in the appropriate sequence help students satisfy requirements for the Bright Futures Gold Seal Vocational Scholars Award. In many Associate of Science degrees and college credit certificates, your Career Pathways credits may serve as part of the program requirements or as elective credits. If you earn an Associate in Arts transfer degree, your Career Pathways credits may serve as an elective toward your A.A. degree. NOTE: Program and elective requirements vary by college or university, so please verify the
requirements of each school you are considering.
DON’T LET YOUR EARNED CREDITS EXPIRE! You must enroll at Valencia within 24 months after high school graduation to have your credits applied to your college transcript.
