The restaurant is located in the three-storeyed building in the very center of Kiev. The design of the restaurant is executed in minimalistic style and includes the elements of Eastern interior.
You can find the hall with the bar counter together with the stage on the first level of the restaurant. A red room for the VIP persons is also placed nearby. On the second flood there is one more hall and the smoking room. The last room is enriched with the 8-meters high cupola, where the presence of the Eastern culture is most visible. The walls in this room are decorated with the woodworks decorated with the gentle handmade Eastern ornament. Almost all the elements were designed individually.
Restaurant «P ersona » is located in a reconstructed two-storey mansion built in the early twentieth century, in the central part of Kyiv.
The interior of the restaurant is designed in the minimalist tradition with the «quotations» of the East, without suggesting overgrowth of interior decoration.
On the first level of the restaurant there is a hall with a bar and a stage, and also a red room for VIP-persons; on the second level there is another hall and a green smoking room. In the last one, with an eight-meter dome the presence of the East is the most tangible: hookahs, stamped dishes and other ethnic utensils are everywhere. Apart from hookah the guests are offered a selection of cigars that are not oriental at all (another hint that the Orient is here «as it happens»).
The ornamental leitmotif in the interior is a trefoil (two arrows down, symbolizing a connection with the energy of the earth, and one up, with the energy of the cosmos) made in different textures: in glass, metal and plastic. The idea of combining the powers of heaven and earth is also embedded in the color scheme: rich turquoise in the decoration, columns and furniture is a traditional symbol of heaven, while the terracotta used in wall cladding is a symbol of earth.
Many details of the interior such as columns with built-in lighting, bar counter top, dressers, sofas and tables are made according to the architects’ sketches by local producers.
Another author’s elaboration is hand-painted walls (variations on the theme of plinth). The wall carpets (based on the drawings of e lena K alinichen Ko ) were specially ordered in Belgium. From Syria the restaurant owner brought chandeliers for the second floor, and from Jordan a furniture set and lighting fixtures for the red VIP-zone.
Silver and gold column pillars are executed in stainless steel and constitute the main accent of the interior. A plastic turquoise lamp is placed in the center of each pillar and it sparkles with the variety of color shades. The ceiling lamps were designed individually.
The sofas on the 1st and 2nd levels were produced by our masters. They were designed in order to fit the existing sizes of the premises. The upholstery of the sofas is made of textile from Italian producers.
The sofas placed on the 2nd level have an exclusive upholstery made of the textile with the gold printed drawings, designed especially for the existing interior.
The flooring is made as self-leveling. First then it was perfectly evened and then the cement covering was polished. The cement was decorated with the special gold drawings and after that the flooring was covered with the epoxy resin that creates the amber effect.
One more authoring is the way of walls execution. They are made under the relief design and painted by hand with the variations on a theme of plinthiform brick. Exclusive ornament of the walls includes the carpets that were specially ordered from the Belgian manufacturers and decorated with the common theme ornaments designed by the painters. Front windows that are cut through inside the carpet are the exclusive designer’s signature. Window jambs are also made from the stainless steel copying the design of the column pillars. The carpet on the 2nd level placed right behind the stage was the most impressive one.
The cupola that is 8-meters high creates the unforgettable Eastern atmosphere. The walls in this premise are covered with the woodworks where the gentle Eastern ornament is made by hand by the masters.
The top of the table and the bench in the woman’s restroom are executed in the transparent plastic with the golden base.
