Welcome Just like a great piece of art, each of our lives are unique. We each reflect a different design. No two stories are the same. But one of the things we have in common is that we can all worship, right where we are, through our individual, God-given design. The Apostle Paul, in Romans 12 instructs us to offer our bodies as a living sacrifice; that act is our worship to our God. The Message version puts it like this,
“Take your everyday, ordinary life— your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life— and place it before God as an offering.” Everything we do should be an expression of worship to God. Socializing with friends, gathering on a Sunday morning with other believers, studying the Bible in a group setting, the job we do every day – every aspect of our life can be given as worship to our living God. Within this current By Design are areas that pertain to the different facets of your life. Each part of Valley Christian Center has a central goal aimed towards you: to help you Discover God’s Story in You! Take a look and see what grabs your attention! We look forward to worshiping with you, not just on Sundays, but in our everyday, ordinary lives!

Whether you are far removed from college and high school days or you just entered into adulthood and the classroom of life, our Adult Education department hopes to keep your mind fresh and your spirit receptive. Paul reminded Timothy in 2 Timothy 3 that all Scripture is God-breathed and useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness. How are you being taught and trained today in the Word of God? Though our main venues for adults to join a class or small group may happen on Sunday mornings or Wednesday nights, the reality is that there are opportunities for you at many different times, locations, and days! Check out our website to find a group or class that may suit your taste, your needs, and your schedule. Our hope is that you start with LifeScript, a journey that we invite you on to Discover God’s Story in You. As you walk through the five chapters of LifeScript, you will look at the pages of VCC’s Story and then turn to the pages that make up your story: your walk, your life, your faith story, and your freedom.

Forerunners
Targeting those in life’s second half. The second half of life has the potential to be the most fruitful and rewarding. You’ve experienced life, gained nuggets of wisdom along the way, fallen down in areas and learned to get back up. You may have raised children who are now adults, tried many careers or stuck with one your whole life – the possibilities are endless. Your life stories are full of experiences, wisdom, and accomplishments. So, now what?
Pastor Don
You may find yourself with more of everything on your hands…time, energy, mental space, or resources. Now you have more time to devote to your passions and relationships or more wisdom to pass on to a younger generation. Our desire is to provide opportunities for you to connect with others in your same stage of life and to remind you that there is still so much more for you to do! So, join us for an exciting adventure, a class that will keep you learning, or a serving opportunity that will remind you of where you may have come from.

Children: fearfully and wonderfully made. Knit together by God. Designed with a purpose and purposed for a destiny. Every child is important and special, created by God to walk through life knowing and loving Him. Precious, intricately designed, uniquely gifted. Children: born with a blank page, with the promise of a story yet to be discovered. Scripture reveals that all the days ordained for a child were written in God’s book before one of them came to be (Psalm 139:16). Life is a journey to discover what each ordained day holds and how a lifetime of days, strung together like precious pearls, unfolds His divine story in each life.
Pastor Jennifer
Children are important and special! At Valley Christian Center, we work diligently to partner with parents by designing faith-building programs and services that can help kids encounter God, learn from and about the Bible, develop meaningful friendships and just plain have fun! We share the joy and wonder of watching as kids discover their individual God-given design, and work to cultivate their talents and gifts as God’s story in them unfolds. Scripture admonishes us to point children in the right direction so that when they are grown they won’t depart from God’s truth and plan. We take this challenge to heart, working to create a culture and environment where they can learn to hear the Spirit of God themselves as His story is revealed through them. We desire for them to know His Word and His voice in order to hear him say, “This is the way; walk in it.” (Isaiah 30:22) Bring your whole family and visit us on a Sunday morning or Wednesday night. We have services and classes for adults and teenagers while the children are busy learning and playing in their own groups!

Counseling Pastor Cassie Tundag | ctundag@dublinvcc.org
As a leadership team, we strive to make VCC a safe place; a place where all types of people are welcome despite their history, financial status, family life, or state of employment. We understand that there are times when we all need an outside voice to mediate or help counsel us. Our pastoral staff is available to meet with individuals who may need counsel for a certain situation. There may be times when the situation requires someone with more training and expertise and we would be happy to refer you to someone who is better equipped to help in your specific situation. Our list of resources includes budget counselors, marriage and family therapists, and pre-marital counseling. Please do not hesitate to contact us; it is our honor to walk beside you through all aspects of life!

These sessions will give you the tools you need to build (or rebuild) your confidence, expand your vision, develop successful life strategies and gain new insights and understanding about yourself, as well as introduce you to a great group of men. Visit the website to see the current session being offered or contact Dan Missbrenner at MensFraternity@dublinvcc.org or John Deming at men@dublinvcc.org. Missions Pastor Dwight Davis | missions@dublinvcc.org
For 2000 years, men and women have sacrificed and circled the globe to share the message and love of Jesus Christ. What provokes someone to sell their possessions and journey across the world? It can be summed up with two words – God’s Love. At Valley Christian Center, Global Missions is more than a financial pledge, bake sales and banquets. Our purpose is to live out a sacred commission from God to go and make disciples of all nations. We are compelled to live out the Great Commission with a threefold strategy: Send, Do and Go.
Send Someone: Do you have a heart to reach a certain part of the world? Chances are there are others who share the same call as you do. You can send that person, team or even an organization by committing to pray for them and financially supporting their ministry. This is the beginning process of caring for that missionary with whom you are choosing to partner and care for. “You can give without loving; however you cannot love without giving.”- Amy Carmichael, missionary to India Do Something: You were never designed to coast or just get by. You were created to do great things! What is the one issue that pulls on the strings of your heart here in the Tri-Valley? God’s call for your life is to help be the solution where something or someone is broken. He has called you to love and serve this city. To make it simple, do something. Serve where you are passionate, and share the gospel with those who cross your path. “For we are God’s workmanship created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God has prepared in advance for us to do.” Ephesians 2:10
14
Go Somewhere: Close your eyes for a moment. Before you open your eyes, picture yourself in a different part of the world. You are sharing God’s love and message with people you do not know. There may be a language barrier, or perhaps you are caring for people who are abandoned and forgotten. Where is this place? What is special to you about this people group or location? Now, open your eyes. Chances are, this is something to consider and God may be calling you to go and serve. Go somewhere (at least once in your lifetime) to serve in a capacity just like you envisioned. The world continues to grow smaller and is more accessible. Do not procrastinate. Will you go somewhere on a short term mission’s trip? “The Gospel is only good news if it gets there in time.” – Carl F. H. Henry

Pastoral Care Pastor Don Dickinson | ddickinson@dublinvcc.org
18
When life brings joyous times or challenges, there are pastors who can help guide you. Your church life and your personal life will often intersect. That is how God created us to be – beings who need community and relationship. They are not exclusive of the other. There will be times when you are in need of a pastor in your life to celebrate with you, such as when you decide to be baptized, and times when you need a pastor and your church to help you by providing a meal when you’re sick or a need a visit while in the hospital. Whichever way life’s road takes you in any given season, our pastoral staff is here to walk beside you. Perhaps you have one of the gifts that will allow you to care for people around you. If so, we have teams that you can join – teams that provide meals, transportation, help within and around the home, and care to our church on Sunday mornings.
Pastor Don
And that is what makes the body of Christ unique! It is a beautiful partnership where some are in a position to provide care and some are in need of care.

“For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.” – 2 Corinthians 10:3-4
Valley Christian Center is aligning itself to become one of the most recognized and sought after houses of prayer and healing in this region. It is our desire to cultivate a vibrant, dedicated community of believers who gather regularly for intercession, healing, deliverance, and fasting. With nearly 300 opportunities filtered through 17 different gatherings and programs, our consistent and persistent prayers are sure to shape this region and prepare it for the coming of Jesus. Something unique happens when competition and physical exertion collide amongst a group of people. A bond is created around memories of a perfect score, a game-winning hit, or a physical collision that creates (minimal) pain. Those memories create easy conversation when a new friend is seen again and next thing you know a bond has been created that will last for years.
Pastor Don
Our Sports Ministry offers a variety of sports and recreational activities for adults and to our children for the purpose of fun, exercise and competition in an environment that promotes personal evangelism. So, grab your sports gear and join us for a round of golf, a few frames of bowling, or contact us to get a group going in the game or activity of your choice!

The women of Valley Christian Center come from every walk of life. We are single, married, divorced, or widowed. We are moms, grandmas, aunties and sisters. We work in the home and outside of the home. We make a difference in our communities, schools, workplaces, and homes. But, above all of these “titles,” we are women who bear the image of a living God and love Him deeply! Whether you are looking for a Bible study to be a part of monthly or weekly, a one-time event or a retreat to get away for a few days, Women’s Ministry has several ways you can get more involved and meet other women in our church.

Worship Arts Pastor Jason Gawel | jgawel@dublinvcc.org
28
Worship is in all of us. It’s that thing, deep down inside that longs to give glory to God. Some of us recognize its influence in our life and pursue a means to express it to its fullest potential; others succumb to it arbitrarily by attending a meeting or event to release any guilty feelings of obligation. I choose the former. It amazes me how an indescribable God would want, no, prefers our worship of Him. I want to give Him my best worship, my best sacrifice. (Romans 12:1)
Pastor Jason
God has uniquely gifted each of us to press that worship through our own personalities, talents and abilities. It will never be the same. No cookie-cutters here. But, our job is to press; to constantly exert the selfless act of allowing Jesus to be the Lord of every area of our life. This is never ending. The moment we think we’ve accomplished this, is the very moment, yet again, our worship falls short of what He deserves. So onward we press. The Worship Arts Department at Valley Christian Center is passionate about creating an atmosphere where people experience and connect with a Holy God and freeing people to worship God through their fullest design. Come discover how God can use you.

Young Adults Pastor Cassie Tundag | ctundag@dublinvcc.org

Life as a young adult throws so many decisions and questions our way…what do I believe in? What type of person do I want to be known as? What do I hope for my future? As a church, our hope is to create a place where it is safe for young adults to ask such questions and allow us to walk beside them as they get answered. Roots Young Adults Ministry is made up of a group of people from all kinds of situations. Some work full-time, some go to college, some are out on their own, some still live at home – whatever your situation, you’ll fit in! Join us the second and fourth Sundays after second service (about 1:00 PM) for lunch and our small group Bible study. For more information, check out our website or contact Pastor Cassie.
Pastor Cassie
“I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.” Ephesians 3:16-19 (NLT)
31
Youth Ministries Pastor Aaron McNeal | youth@dublinvcc.org Pastor Anthony McLeod | amcleod@dublinvcc.org
32
Youth – Colorful, vibrant in spirit and predestined in God’s plan. The essence of our future. At VCC’s T4 Youth Ministries, we believe that our youth should be celebrated; their taste in fashion, music and entertainment is what makes them special. Their culture, values, and differences are not something of which to be ashamed. Psalms 139:14 says, “We praise Him because we are fearfully and wonderfully made.” The lives of our youth are approaching a turning point. Soon they must choose for themselves who they will live for and what they will stand for. These decisions are not to be taken lightly. In order to equip our youth with the knowledge and understanding of God and what He means to them personally, they must come to the knowledge that each decision made has consequences. Only by wisdom and walking with God do they learn that living for God is the only way to truly LIVE.
Pastor Anthony
Pastor Aaron
This year’s overall theme for the youth will be “Feed the Hungry.” The theme will be practiced throughout all events and ministries in which we participate and partner. We believe this particular theme will resonate humility, love, respect and hope amongst our youth. Our goal at VCC is to empower teens to live out God-centered lives. Please join us in prayer as we embark upon the quest to feed God’s children spiritually, mentally and physically as far as God is willing to reach our hands.
