Have a Seat, My Sweet Surceé Home Décor & Gifts offers beautiful custom furniture as well as special gifts for your Valentine’s Day sweetheart. By Shelly Robinson When Kristen (Pallett) LaMont graduated with her degree in interior design from the University of Central Oklahoma this past May, she headed right back to her hometown of Owasso. After working part time for more than three years at Surceé during college breaks and summers, Kristen was ready to begin her professional career at the store she already loved. “Surceé has always had a great variety of gifts and home décor, but now we are offering furniture, lighting, mirrors, rugs and artwork,” shared Kristen. “It’s really exciting to help customers find everything they need to create a personal look all in one place.” Regular Surceé shoppers
know that owner Laura Sanders doubled the size of the store last fall and that extra space is filled with beautiful furniture lines, available in a variety of fabrics. They also offer custom-ordered furniture in a smaller selection of fabrics. Laura says that the trend for large-scale homes has created a need for furniture that accommodates high ceilings and open areas. “Furniture height is important in creating the balance in a room, as well as properly sized light fixtures and chandeliers,” explains Laura. “Whether you are looking to finish the design of a newly constructed home or incorporate your style in an existing home, we have what you need.”
Build Your Child’s Spring Wardrobe Children’s Orchard in Owasso offers gently used name, brand clothing at a small fraction of the retail price. By Lorrie Ward With spring only a month away, many parents may be examining their children’s wardrobes in anticipation of warmer temperatures, making it the perfect time to visit Children’s Orchard™ in Owasso, where you can sell and
buy gently used, quality clothing, toys and accessories for children. “We offer a huge selection of high quality items for up to 80 percent off retail, with brands like Gymboree, Children’s Place, (continued on page 22)

Surceé customers have requested more artwork, and the new space has also allowed Laura to expand in that area. Vignettes around the store help customers see how pieces work together, and if you have a specific area you are working on, you are welcome to bring in a photo and the Surceé girls will help you create that signature look they are known for. Kristen, Laura and her mother, Sue Hatfield, are also available for in-home consultations and say that keeping up with the latest trends keeps the store fresh and everchanging. “The word for spring is color, and lots of it,” smiled Laura. “I know our clients will enjoy the new items that are (continued on page 22)
Changing Lives through Early Music Education Under the Shadow offers music sponsorships for children of financially challenged families. By Lou Cleland Under The Shadow Education International Foundation (UTSEIF) is a public charitable educational non-profit organization created in 2010 for the promotion of early childhood music education for financially challenged families who have young children, 3 to 9 years of age, who desire to study a musical instrument in Tulsa County. Life is Full of Changes BY MELANIE HASTY-GRANT
Life transitions are a time of change ― “what was” no longer exists and “what will be” has not yet taken shape. These changes almost always come with a tidal wave of feelings. Shock, fear, loss of identity and self-esteem, guilt, confusion, feeling overwhelmed, and anger are some of the most common emotions folks experience during a major life transition. In addition, people often find their relationships with family and friends begin to change. Having been a marriage and family therapist and now a financial advisor for more than two decades, I have seen and experienced more than a few of life’s changes. Some of the biggest life transitions that I see are loss of a loved one, divorce, loss of a job, retirement, and sale of a business. There are, of course, many more, but these seem to top the list. By definition, a transition is a temporary condition. Although, it certainly doesn’t feel like it! These tough times are often marked by a painful period of letting go, reassessing, and coming to terms with the new reality of our lives. One of the keys to a successful transition is to take the time to re-examine your sense of

sometimes taking as much as 5 years from start to finish…but they are time limited! 2)EMOTIONS ― Be aware of the negative emotions that show up during a transition and can last for a few years after: abandonment, fear, grief, and low self-esteem. All of these emotions can lead to feeling overwhelmed ― physical fatigue and making short-term decisions can be disastrous. Take your time and make clear and rational decisions.
purpose and consider your new choices in light of your most important life goals. Uncertainty and emotions affect your decisions. Understanding this and seeking helpful, non-biased advice, especially when it comes to your money, is really important. Family and friends often offer lots of advice. They usually mean well but it may or may not be the best financial decision for you. Remember these 3 things when going through a difficult transition:
3)DECISIONS ― The decisions we make while in transition will shape our future as we settle into our “new normal.” Each decision will have a personal and a financial consequence. The secrets to successful decision making while in transition begin with understanding your new resources, organizing and prioritizing your choices, and allocating your resources to create the life you would most like to live. Waterstone Private Wealth Management can provide unbiased guidance and structure to handle your life changes and your money effectively.
1)UNCERTAINTY ― Each time we go through a transition we face new responsibilities and choices. As a result, our emotions become more turbulent and we have a feeling of uncertainty. Remember that transitions have a beginning and an end,

BBuying or Selling a Vehicle? America’s Auto Auction could be the best way to get it done. By Duane Blankenship Monte Freeman is general manager of America’s Auto Auction of Tulsa. He and his team provide services to automobile dealers and the public with two auctions per week throughout most of the year. A dealer-only auction is held on Wednesdays at 2 p.m., and a public auction is held
Mondays at 6 p.m. Public sales for 2013 will run through May 20. That will be the last public auction until December of 2013. “We take pride in staying on the cutting edge of the automotive auction industry and do our best to maintain our unique customer service,” said Monte. America’s Auto Auction has
conducted weekly auctions for over 50 years. “We continue to see increases in the number of vehicles we sell each year, and the quality of offerings continues to be upgraded,” he added. Bilingual assistance is available on the lot and in the auction barn, where pre-owned cars and trucks are sold at wholesale
The America’s Auto Auction crew is always focused on making each event a great experience for buyers and sellers alike. (Back Row, L to R): Ronnie Gilman, Gail White, Sarah Lambeth, Monte Freeman, Lisa McAnelly, Afton Nordean, Doug Pirnak, (Front Row, L to R): Christina Hinojosa, Summer Sanchez, Cathy Oliver, and Lyndsey Gonzalez.
prices. You’ll find a huge variety of makes and models, and many are sold with no reserve prices. If you’ve never attended an America’s Auto Auction event, you should visit online and click Public Auctions for a preview of vehicles being presented at the Monday evening sale. When visiting the website, you’ll have a chance to become familiar with the step-by-step process of buying or selling a vehicle, and the information can be presented in English or Spanish. The public is invited to visit the America’s Auto Auction lot on Monday after 1 p.m. This is your opportunity to check out vehicles scheduled to be auctioned that evening. Although you will not be permitted to drive them at that time, you will be able to start the engine and see if all the “bells and whistles” are working properly. You may find items that will need attention after the purchase. Whether you plan to buy or sell a vehicle, there are two ways to do it. If a seller places a vehicle as a “Red Light” sale, the vehicle is sold “as is.” That means the vehicle has no warranty and no guarantees. If a
Page 5
vehicle is sold as a “Green Light,” it is sold with the assurance that the engine, transmission, and rear end are in working order, and the buyer will have the opportunity to drive the vehicle before leaving the grounds. A minimum bid price is posted on every vehicle. Be sure you fully understand the step-by-step procedures. Monte wants there to be no surprises to anyone. When you sell a vehicle through America’s Auto Auction, payment is made to you the first working day following the day of the auction. Cars arrive each Monday throughout the day, right up to auction time. Although you can visit the auction yard any time after 1 p.m., the largest selection will be available late in the day just before the auction begins. Videos in both English and Spanish will be showing in the lobby explaining what is happening. It’s important to Monte and his crew that all customers receive excellent customer service, whether participating as a buyer or seller. The America’s Auto Auction staff is intent on making each event a pleasure for all who attend. Pay them a visit whenever you’re interested in buying or selling a car or truck. Barnes Children’s Advocacy Center, Healthy Community Partnerships, Claremore Public Schools Foundation, Safenet Services and Rogers County Youth Services. Prior to each couple’s performance, a short video produced by a student enrolled in NTC’s EAST program, will highlight the featured agency. Booths will also be set up in the PAC lobby so visitors can browse to learn more about the function of each organization represented. Although three judges will be raising their scorecards to rate each of the couples, the audience will have the final vote of the evening. During a 20-minute intermission, audience members will be able to visit the non-profit booth of their choice to cast a vote by dropping dollars into a canister. “The People’s Choice will be declared the winner,” says Mosier. “A male and female winner will each receive a trophy declaring that they are ‘The Best Darn Dancer in Rogers County, 2013.’” During the intermission and following the event, A Bar Bunkhouse Band, made up of Rogers County musicians, will perform. In 2011, I went and got steroid shots, but they didn’t help very much at all.” In 2012, she went to see Dr. LaButti for another round of shots. “But Dr. LaButti took Xrays and told me that the shots wouldn’t help because my knees were bone-on-bone,” Roberta
Roberta Maxwell is one of many patients who came to Dr. Ronald LaButti after having a less than ideal experience with a different doctor. “I had my hip replaced in 2008 with another doctor,” says Roberta. “That doctor said that the hip replacement would affect my knees, and it did – I devel-

She says, “I walked a lot because I got muscle cramps. By four and a half weeks, I was able to walk without a walker or cane, and I had no pain – and I’ve had no pain in my knee since the surgery.” Roberta will have her left knee replaced by Dr. LaButti in May. Roberta highly recommends Dr. LaButti. “He’s a very good surgeon, and I really appreciated how well he explained everything I asked him about. My mother also used Dr. LaButti several years ago, and she also had a good experience.” Dr. LaButti is board certified in orthopedic surgery, as well as fellowship trained in lower extremity and joint reconstruction. His expertise is broadly based on advanced training he has received from some of the country’s premier medical programs. Throughout his career, Dr. LaButti has worked hard to stay on the cutting edge of his specialty through rigorous
continuing education and research. But it is Dr. LaButti’s compassion and genuine concern for each and every one of his patients is what truly sets him apart. Conveniently located in the heart of Tulsa, Dr. LaButti treats patients in communities throughout Oklahoma including Bartlesville, Bixby, Bristow, Broken Arrow, Catoosa, Claremore, Collinsville, Durant, Enid, Fort Gibson, Glenpool, Grand Lake, Grove, Inola, Jenks, Kiefer, Lake Eufaula, McAlester, Muskogee, New Tulsa, Okmulgee, Osage, Owasso, Pryor, Sand Springs, Sapulpa, Stone Bluff, Turley and Vinita. “I would recommend Dr. LaButti to anyone,” said Roberta. Business and Owner You Can Rely On Gleam Guard owner Tracy Booth has served satisfied customers for 26 years.
By Sheryl Sowell “Many people have the concept that all wood refinishing is messy and that remodelers always take longer,” says Gleam Guard owner Tracy Booth. “With Gleam Guard,” he explains, “you can refinish woodwork without sanding and make it look like new in a few days.” The average kitchen cabinet project normally takes one to two days at the most to complete. Larger kitchens may require two to three days with the process. This amazing technology restores lasting beauty to cabinets and other interior woodwork without dust, mess or toxic fumes. Gleam Guard bonds to the original finish, enhancing the wood grain and giving it a fresh-oiled look. But unlike oiled methods, Gleam Guard results last decades – not days or weeks. The process works not only on traditional wood surfaces, but on painted, glazed and pickled woods. Gleam Guard can be used on old or new cabinets. Keeping the finish new is as easy as wiping with a damp cloth. A bit of white vinegar is all you need for stubborn spots.
During his 26 years in business, Tracy has heard a lot of positive customer comments, such as this one: “My cabinets are 32 years old. After Gleam Guard, I use nothing but water to clean them, and they look beautiful.” Cost is very reasonable, and many customers say they wish they had the makeover a lot sooner. “Sometimes people think I am going to make everything look really shiny,” says Tracy. “But there are actually three sheens to choose from – satin, semi-gloss and high-gloss.” You can have a soft look, a strong impact look or in-between. The technicians will be pleased to show you how your cabinets will look with any of these finishes. Getting finished on time is something you don’t need to worry about. Tracy’s crew of professional craftsmen aim to complete the job in good time. You can count on what Tracy says and what he does. His business integrity and respect for customers has earned Gleam Guard a perfect rating with the Better Business Bureau, as well
as its prestigious Award for Outstanding Customer Service. “Is it really true I don’t have to take anything out of my cupboards?” That’s one of the most common questions Tracy hears. His answer is, “Yes – you don’t have to do anything to prepare. Everything in your cupboards can remain as they are.” Give Gleam Guard a call at (918) 455-4211 if you have any questions regarding your woodwork or if you need to schedule an in-home demonstration. Gleam Guard dust-free wood refinishing does wonders on just about any wood surface – paneling, molding, doors and frames. Each job comes with a five-year guarantee that includes free touchup services if needed. Recently, one customer was so pleased with her touchup service and the additional work she had requested that she sent a note and another check in the mail.“The amount my Gleam Guard technician charged isn’t enough for doing such a good job. While this additional check doesn’t cover his time, it makes me feel better because he did
Gleam Guard owner Tracy Booth in the Promenade Mall kiosk by the food court. such an exceptional and unexpectedly good job. Thank you and him,” she wrote. “I am so thankful for the people in this community who have kept me in business for more than two decades,” says Tracy. “They chose to hire me to save them money while protecting a big investment. That’s a real honor.” Satisfied
customers have enabled him to expand Gleam Guard, now with offices in other parts of the States. For more information, contact

TTake Action to Save More Effectively America Saves Week is February 28-March 2. By Jocelyn Wood Saving money doesn’t have to be a daunting task. In fact, it’s the little things that make the biggest difference when it comes to improving your financial health. Take it one small step at a time. Adjusting one spending habit slightly – like putting all your coins in a jar or skipping that morning coffee once a week – can bring in big savings. RCB Bank’s Customer Service Reps Robert Gettings, of Oklahoma City, and Terri Ross, of Pryor, along with AVP Corporate Retail Coordinator Jenni Pilgrim, of Claremore, share their personal savings strategies. “I give myself an allowance each week in cash. If I run out before the week is over, I’m out of money. If I have any extra money left over, I put it back into my savings, not my checking. Another thing I do is bring my lunch everyday instead of going out – saves at least $5 a day,” said Robert Gettings. “I drink water instead of soda when I go out for a meal, which saves quite a bit of money.
Motivation to save. RCB Bank employee Sarah Smith, of Pryor, says her family saves money by putting all their coins in a jar, which they will use to fund their upcoming vacation to Sea World. Restaurant food portions are often larger than one person should have, so I occasionally share a meal with whomever I’m dining out with if they share the same savings and improving health goals. It’s a win, win!” said Terri Ross.
“I coupon for groceries and household items. Sounds like a lot of work, I know, but it really isn’t. I visit Moneysavingqueen.com to get local daily coupons, money saving tips and meal planning ideas. It’s a great resource. I also grab the Sunday paper and clip

coupons for products I use,” said Jenni Pilgrim. Set your savings on autodrive with online banking, a nosweat savings tool that can help you enhance your financial wellness. Use it to set up automatic money transfers from your checking to savings, like the money earned from your RCB Bank my Cashback checking account or other rewards cards. You can schedule automatic onetime or recurring bill-payments so your bills are paid on-time, every time, saving you from costly late fees. You can also set up email alerts to remind you when bills are due, account balances are getting low or your paycheck comes through. RCB Bank’s online banking program even allows you to set up custom alerts, including birthdays and anniversaries so you can have help remembering to bring home flowers. “I use online banking to save money by setting up automatic transfers from checking to savings and save a certain amount of money from each paycheck,” said Robert. “I use online banking to save money by not having to write checks or pay postage. Goodbye to stop payment fees for lost checks in the mail and late fees for checks that arrived late,” said Terri. “I use the online banking check feature to save money. I have one bill that has to be mailed each month; the company doesn’t accept electronic payments, so I set up a monthly online auto-check payment and the check is mailed on time every month. I’ll never have to pay another late fee because I forgot

to mail the check,” said Jenni. To learn more money savings tips, ask your friends what they’re doing to save or stop by any RCB Bank branch and ask us. IIs It Time Yet? Kent Kantor, owner of Grout Care of Tulsa, encourages clients to call for help when problems in their grout first appear. By Stephanie Reed Kent Kantor has been repairing, sealing, and staining grout for over 14 years. The most common problem that locals experience in terms of grout care is timing. “It is important that you call us at
the onset of a problem to decrease the overall damage to your grout and tile and decrease the overall cost of the repair,” says Kent. He explains that clients tend
to subscribe to the bull’s-eye theory. Some, though few, notice a problem and call immediately. These are the clients with low-cost, fast repairs. Others notice a problem, but they
Grout Care of Tulsa owner Kent Kantor can make tile and grout look new again for a fraction of the cost of replacement.
decide to wait three or four months to call for a repair. These clients inevitably incur more damage during the waiting period, and they end up with more costly repairs. Finally, the majority of clients wait until the problem must be fixed immediately. Unfortunately, by avoiding the problem, major repairs and expenses are necessary. “I can’t say it enough; call me for good, free advice. I can assess the condition of your grout, tell you what has to be done to fix the problem, and give you an overall view of the cost, but you should call at the onset of the problem,” Kent encourages. Grout Care of Tulsa specializes in four services: cleaning, sealing, regrouting, and applying color seals. “We perform these services quickly, cost effectively and correctly every time.” Cleaning and sealing grout and tile are simple preventative services that extend the life and look of your showers and floors. Regrouting becomes necessary when grout is badly stained or cracking and falling of showers, bathroom counters, and floors. When the grout begins to crack, your tile is exposed to water
leaks and damage, allowing mold and mildew to grow behind the tiles. Not only can this be unsightly, but it also has some very detrimental health effects. Finally, color seals are an instant facelift to floors and bathrooms. Color sealing your grout will permanently seal your grout and make it cleanable. Whether you are dealing with cracked grout or heavy mildew and mold, calling early can save you a substantial amount of money. “A job that initially would cost $400 to repair can cost around $2,000 to fix after it has been put off for several months,” Kent explains. With the majority of jobs completed in one day and at a reasonable cost, grout care need no longer be a dreaded home repair. Call Kent for a free estimate at (918) 748-3030, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Make Our Garden Grow M Oklahoma Centennial Botanical Garden unveils its 25-year master plan. By Lori Hutson The Oklahoma Centennial Botanical Garden recently unveiled its new 25-year master plan and officially launched Phase II of the Garden’s development. The announcement follows a year’s worth of careful work, with input from garden board members and staff who worked with landscape architects, interpretive specialists and consultants nationally known in botanical garden planning. With
this master plan, the Garden aims to build a first-class botanical garden for Tulsa, Green Country and all of Oklahoma. “We are proud to present this imaginative and bold new vision for the Garden,” OCBG CEO Todd Lasseigne said. “This plan is full of excitement, creative spirit and timeless beauty. We are all excited as to the future of the Botanical Garden.” The 25-year plan envisions a series of gardens encircling

Centennial Lake, the crown jewel of the Garden’s Phase I development, which was completed in 2009. In overall theme, the master plan leaves the natural areas natural, while calling for the development of those parts of property that are ecologically less sensitive. The Lakeside Promenade, the Garden’s central walk, will feature a parade of color, textures, patterns and fragrance. From there, visitors will experience unique and exciting gardens including: Ornamental Gardens, a showcase attraction encompassing over 2 acres of terraced gardens with stone retaining walls, cascading water features, and choice and select ornamental plants suited for Oklahoma gardens; Edible Gardens (3.2 acres) telling the story of food crops and their origins throughout the world; and Inspiration Gardens (2.6 acres), which will demonstrate best techniques for home gardeners and serve as an ever-changing trial garden area to test plants for Oklahoma. “This new plan will bring to Tulsa a truly special, uniquelyOklahoma botanical garden, one

that everyone will cherish,” Lasseigne said. “The diversity of gardens, styles, and future programs will make this Garden appeal to all people — men and women, young and old — who enjoy beauty and nature.” Other gardens planned include: Oklahoma Gardens (4.6 acres), which will showcase native flora from throughout the state while celebrating the rich relationships between Oklahoma’s peoples and the land; Asian Garden (2.3 acres), which will interpret the unique Cross Timbers landscape using time-honored eastern design principles and plantings; and a Children’s Garden, providing experience-based learning opportunities set in a fantastical "wonderland" environment filled with beautiful plants and interactive exhibits. “The Board of Directors and staff of the Oklahoma Centennial Botanical Garden have set forth a visionary master plan for a botanical garden in Tulsa,” said Tary Arterburn, principal of Studio Outside and one of the landscape architects who worked on the plan. “It is one that strives to be unique and
destination-oriented and will make the city proud of its presence as a high-quality venue for residents and visitors to the area. It will add to the already significant museums and public institutions that call Tulsa home. Tulsa's rich history of gardening will be celebrated in a grand way through the development of the Garden as envisioned.” Arterburn and fellow landscape architect Tres Fromme of 3 Fromme Design have extensive experience with public gardens including Desert Botanical Garden (Phoenix, Ariz.), Atlanta Botanical Garden, Bok Tower Gardens (Lake Wales, Fla.) and Red Butte Garden (Salt Lake City). “This plan is a true synthesis of a bounty of ideas and thoughts,” Lasseigne said. “We celebrate the future and invite anyone and everyone to join us on the journey ahead.” For more information, contact

Traditional favorites including lotions, bubble baths and perfumes by Lollia make wonderful gifts, and you’ll want to check out the latest scents, At Last and Wander. Hard to find batteryoperated candles with remote control are very popular. Embellished flip flops, great frames and a variety of cooking and decorating books help you find something for everyone on your list. Build Your Child’s Spring Wardrobe continued from page 1 Baby Gap and Justice,” says Kari Hendrix, owner of Children’s Orchard in Owasso. “We focus on saving our customers money.” This focus has been paramount for Kari since she bought the Owasso location two years ago. Children’s Orchard has remained at this location – 12307 N. 96th St. N., in the same shopping center as Kohl’s and Wal-Mart – and Kari reports that her business has grown over 65 percent in the last two years. It was this growth and a desire for even greater development that prompted Kari to expand the back buying area of the store. “We’ve ripped out the old counters, added a second buying station, and added lighting so we can handle additional buys from customers,” says Kari. “It is super easy to sell to us – we offer cash on the spot or 30 percent more for in-store credit.” Buying hours are from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and a typical time allotment involves 20 minutes for two small sacks of clothing, or a few toys or pieces of equipment. “If you have more stuff to bring in than what we allow for a walk-in, we do schedule multiple appointments daily.” The system has been greatly successful, not only because a struggling economy has made people more conservative about discarding items that are still in great condition, but because Children’s Orchard’s highly selective process allows them to offer great prices on name brand clothing. Examples of great prices include a pair of Gap jeans for $6.99, a Ralph
Lauren polo for $4.99, and a Baby Lulu dress for $7.99. These are huge savings over retail, where a brand new Ralph Lauren dress could cost $75 or more, as opposed to under $15 at Children’s Orchard. Everything on the racks at Children’s Orchard has been carefully examined for quality and signs of wear by the staff, so buyers can feel confident they are not just getting a good bargain – they are getting an excellent one. Children’s Orchard also buys and sells items like strollers and car seats, as well as new accessories such as hair bows and toys. Whether you are focused on providing a quality wardrobe for your child at highly discounted prices or you would simply like to turn cluttered closets and drawers into cash in your pocket (without having to open your home to strangers with a yard or garage sale!), be sure to visit Children’s Orchard in Owasso, where quality and savings bloom every day. Store hours are 9:30 am to 6:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Sunday.

These sponsorships are supported by donations which are tax-deductible. We need sponsors, and anyone can become a sponsor and help musically affect, train and inspire a young child’s life. A Sponsor’s Form may be found at www.utseif.com/tcms. Every penny goes to the training of the sponsored student. This year we are adding a Summer Camp Music Sponsorship (SCMS), which will provide a partial sponsorship (without audition) to public and private study student musicians in grades 6 through 8. The goal is to increase musical experience, theory, private instruction and performance opportunities for musically enthusiastic but financially challenged students, through a summer camp experience of their choice. These summer camp sponsorships are
available to students who live in Tulsa County. Through several decades of study concerning the effects of early childhood musical education in children, it has been found that there are above normal improvements in problem solving, discipline, ability to focus, motor skills, cognitive development, spatial-temporal reasoning abilities, memory, artistic sensitivity and arts appreciation. They become good, productive citizens as they grow up, and they become creative bridges of national and international exchange and global communication. We are now accepting applications for partial sponsorships for music camp this summer of 2013. If your family is financially challenged and you have a student who desires to attend music camp this summer,
please contact our website at www.utseif.com, print an application and mail it to the address on the application form. The application deadline for Summer Camp Music Sponsorships is March 15, 2013. Wow Your Valentine W Vincent Anthony Jewelers specializes in gifts for Valentine’s Day and other special occasions. By Duane Blankenship Vincent Anthony Jewelers has locations in Tulsa and Broken Arrow. Owner Lonnie Iannazzo has been in the jewelry business for more than 30 years and has served customers in the metropolitan area for 13 years. “Valentine’s Day injects emotion into the hearts of the young and old, male and female alike,” says Lonnie. “Being one of the most romantic days of the year, it’s no wonder many elect Valentine’s as the perfect day to propose marriage or to confirm feelings to a spouse or significant other, making the event a great celebration.” With stores located at 101st and Sheridan in Tulsa and on Aspen just south of the BA Expressway in Broken Arrow, you’ll find offerings to satisfy anyone on your list for the special occasion. Vincent Anthony specializes in wellknown lines of quality jewelry for both men and women. An all-time gift favorite is Pandora, a Danish design in sterling silver and 14-karat gold with Murano glass, pearls, semi-precious stones and cubic
zirconia. The Pandora collection gives the wearer unique opportunities to create her own personal look and add matching charms over time to bracelets, necklaces, earrings, pendants and rings. Pandora makes it easy to recall unforgettable moments. Many products in the Pandora line are priced comparably to what you’d expect to spend on a nice box of chocolates. Speaking of chocolates, “Vincent Anthony carries gorgeous Chocolate Diamonds® exclusively from Le Vian®, the originator of bringing Chocolate Diamonds to the jewelry market,” says Lonnie. Le Vian’s original brand of natural, fancy color brown diamonds are sold exclusively by Le Vian and feature natural brown diamonds that are available in shades from champagne to chocolate. Lonnie says, “Le Vian recognized the beauty of Chocolate Diamonds for their rarity and dark rich color and created a campaign to brand them.” If you’re interested in rings, Lonnie says, “Vincent Anthony has an outstanding selection of
loose diamonds and mountings that we can combine to personalize your ring set. Vincent Anthony’s exquisite quality diamonds are available in any shape and size.” When you select your diamond, it can also be crafted into a piece of fully custom-designed jewelry. When you visit either Vincent Anthony location, you’ll be pleased to see that it is an upscale, full-service jewelry store offering the highest quality in brand names you know: Andrea Candela, Mark Schneider, Gucci and Michele Watches, Vincent Anthony Signature Watches, Pandora, Simon G, Vahan, William Schraft, India Hicks, and other popular lines, many of which are offered exclusively by Vincent Anthony Jewelers in the Tulsa market. Both the Gucci and Michele lines of watches are highly desired and popular. Most Michele watches have removable bands, permitting wearers to select multiple stainless steel or colored bands to enhance their watch as they mix and match to suit the outfit they’re wearing.
Part of the Vincent Anthony sales staff includes Owner Lonnie Iannazzo, Assistant Manager Connie Hill-Tinsley, Ashley Taylor, Valorie Reynolds and Rhonda Amaro.
“We also have a great selection of the William Henry Studio limited-edition collector knives, money clips and writing instruments,” says Lonnie. These beautifully crafted pieces are sure to please any man. Vincent Anthony provides all types of in-store jewelry repair for your convenience. They also resize rings, check diamond settings, and provide excellent jewelry services to ensure customer satisfaction. Jewelry is probably the most popular gift for ladies, and a quality piece of jewelry from Vincent Anthony can last several lifetimes when passed down
from generation to generation. Staff members are experienced experts and truly enjoy serving their customers. They hope you’ll visit Vincent Anthony Jewelers as you do your Valentine’s Day shopping.

SStone Mill Expands Whatever you can imagine in stone for home or patio, Stone Mill Manufactured Stone can make. By Duane Blankenship Stone Mill Manufactured Stone sprang to life at the beginning of 2009. In the past five years, the company’s manufacturing has outgrown existing facilities twice and has been forced to relocate to larger facilities, enabling coowners Susan Spring and Steve Koskey to increase product production and add a number of product options to their line. “It’s a great problem to have,” said Susan, “and we have been fortunate to find manufacturing space close by our main office and showroom on both occasions.” Stone Mill’s main office is located at 15 E. 151st St. in Bixby, where they have beautiful indoor and outdoor showrooms. When you visit the showrooms or the location of a completed project, you immediately realize the company’s dedication to providing the highest quality products available in manufactured stone. Both showrooms are loaded with projects that depict the variety of products and the multitude of colors available in emulating real stone. Stone Mill can also match the color of any existing stone or manufactured stone if the customer wishes to add on to an existing setting or
duplicate a design in another area of their home or yard. Stone Mill’s innovative concrete building materials are designed to exceed customer expectations and add lasting value to any home or commercial project. “We don’t just make stone,” said Susan. “We manufacture pavers and other masonry pieces including wall caps, fireplace surrounds, and more.” The company also has custom mold capabilities. “We do a lot of residential work, both
indoor and outdoor, for fireplaces,” said Rae Young. Stone Mill will provide you with a free estimate for a turnkey project or, if you desire, you can buy the materials direct from Stone Mill and do the work yourself. With the expansion of their product base and mold-making capabilities for pavers and masonry pieces, Stone Mill tripled sales last year. New items added to their product lines this past year included travertine tiles for fireplace surrounds and wall

With Stone Mill’s pavers, the sky’s the limit for color options, and pavers are available in limestone, slate and travertine styles. They also have a selection of ashlar products within the paver lines that permit various design patterns. Stone Mill also does custom design copings, the surrounding area around pools. Stone Mill Manufactured Stone is expanding distribution of their products by opening a second distribution center in Oklahoma City this year. They will then have two distribution locations in Oklahoma City and one in Springdale, Arkansas, and they have plans to expand distribution into other surrounding states this year. Stone Mill stands behind their products with a 50year limited warranty against manufacturing defects when used on structures that conform to local building codes and when installed according to manufacturer instructions.
Susan says they have just begun distribution of a fireplace kit specifically for do-it-yourself enthusiasts. The kits are made by Stone Age Manufacturing and are available in multiple designs and sizes that enable do-it-yourselfers to build custom outdoor fireplace with options providing for the addition of a grill or brick oven. Whatever you can imagine in stone for your home or patio, Stone Mill Manufactured Stone can make. Enhance your next project with manufactured stone from Stone Mill. Susan says, “You can do so at a fraction of the cost of real stone and estimates are always free.” For more information, contact
