MASTER OF MARKETING

2022 EMPLOYMENT REPORT

VANDERBILT

FRIENDS AND ASSOCIATES OF VANDERBILT BUSINESS:

I am pleased to present the Vanderbilt Master of Marketing Class of 2022 Employment Report. This year marks the program’s sixth year, and we are thrilled to report outstanding employment outcomes once again, with 96% of job-seeking graduates having secured a full-time position within 6 months of graduation. These strong results speak to the determination and resilience of the students who were part of the 2022 Vanderbilt Master of Marketing graduating class.

Diverse paths and geographies: While traditional paths within marketing agencies and product management remained popular, the Class of 2022 also forged unique paths. We saw an increase in the number of students working in entertainment/media as well as consulting, with each of these industry sectors representing 22% of the graduating class. While the South remains the largest first destination for graduates (51%), the Class of 2022 landed roles across the country and internationally.

Alumni and community partners: We remain grateful to our alumni partners. They consistently engage with our students and each other, not only sharing job opportunities, but assisting with interview preparation, networking, and so much more. Twenty-two percent of job offers for the Class of 2022 came through alumni and faculty referrals. The success of this program would not be possible without this loyal and accessible network.

It was a joy to support the Vanderbilt Master of Marketing Class of 2022. Their attitudes and adaptability in the face of challenging circumstances highlighted their resiliency and work ethic. They engaged early and often with the Career Management Center. Additionally, we are grateful for the commitment and collaboration from our alumni partners who remain connected with the program and who assist our students. The Class of 2022 built on the program’s solid career foundation and paved new paths for current and future Vanderbilt Master of Marketing students. We look forward to supporting continued career success for the program’s graduates.
