VANDERBILT BUSINESS

®

If you want the training that can take you from the military world to the business world,

VANDERBILT OFFERS YOU A WORLD OF ADVANTAGES. World-class business education for the men and women of the United States Armed Forces. Students with military backgrounds are important to us. Why? Because we know from experience that our military students have honed key qualities that translate into success in the business world (and are especially prized by corporate recruiters). They’re organized. Disciplined. Goal-oriented. Unfazed by challenging assignments. Able to handle ambiguity. They know how to work in—and lead—teams. They get things done. They’ve excelled in the nation’s leading merit-based organization. That’s why we actively recruit military candidates. We know what you’re capable of doing—and how those qualities tend to rub off on those working with you.

Having transitioned directly from active duty in the Marines, Owen has been a pillar of support for me and my family, enabling me to identify and pursue my next mission with confidence and resolve.

As a result, there is no single or simple path to follow when choosing the program that is best for you. That’s why we welcome your calls and emails. Our admissions and career management professionals (and fellow military students and alumni) are available and eager to help you assess which of the variety of programs that we offer may be the best fit for you.

My experience in going through the admissions process was incredible. If you asked, it was provided. The admissions staff were absolutely amazing in seeing that no questions were left unanswered. Their attentiveness was off the charts in comparison to any other school I considered. Kimberly Barboza

The Leadership Development Program here at Owen is something that’s really unique. I had lots of leadership experience from the military…but here I learned how to build consensus and get buy-in. John Robella

“A point of difference for our MBA recruiters comes down to leadership, leadership, leadership. Our military students are mission-oriented, goal-oriented, problem-solving leaders. As an example, out of 850 MBA graduates in the past five years, I can’t think of one military student who didn’t have at least one job offer at graduation.” Read McNamara
