DEAR FUTURE HOMEOWNER, We will be sad to leave this lovely home but are happy to hand it over to a new loving family who appreciates all that this amazing house has to offer. We have enjoyed so many family moments at 152 Prospect Street over the past few years - sunsets on the porch, playing with the dog in the yard, hosting informal get-togethers around our kitchen table, decorating for the holidays, celebrating a 40th birthday with a ‘fancy’ party. The list goes on and on. We love waving to our son from the porch as his school bus passes the front of our house on its way to South Mountain School. And we love the amazing view from our third floor office - having enjoyed hunkering down in many a snow storm staying cozy and warm with the heat provided by the amazing vintage radiators. This is truly a family house with a space for everyone to retreat to, and amazing rooms for convivial gathering. One of the things we love best about this house is the community. 152 Prospect is at the helm of a tight-knit circle of neighbors on Village Road, Tichenor and Killburn. There are many young children and adults of diverse backgrounds that make up the Vil-Kil family and we love getting together for porch drinks, neighborhood olympics, art bender activities and impromptu play-dates. South Orange itself is such an amazing community of people from all walks of life. We will truly miss walking into town and seeing friends and neighbors grabbing a bagel or ice cream or hopping on a quick train to the city for a night out. Being stewards of such an architectural icon in our village has afforded us so many opportunities. We have befriended many people just by way of them walking by, waving and asking us questions about our house. People are always so curious and complimentary, asking what veggies we are growing in the front yard and commenting on the changes we have made throughout the years. We have also had the opportunity to host people from near and far in our Airbnb suite, which has been a great amenity for the community and has allowed us to make over $15,000 a year in extra revenue (a great way to offset the property taxes!). We use the space as an in-laws suite when friends and family are visiting as well. We hope that you enjoy this unique and wonderful property as much as we have. FIRST FLOOR Upon entering the grand foyer, you will be struck by all of the wonderful wood detailing, stained glass windows and the spectacular winding staircase. DINING ROOM The large dining room has beautiful woodwork throughout and a large decorative fireplace. This room is perfect for holiday gatherings.



FAMILY ROOM The spacious family room has coffered ceilings, a gorgeous decorative fireplace and beautiful inlaid wood floors.


This room is warm and cozy with its wood paneled ceiling and bay window. At night the large globe light fixture looks so warm and inviting from outside.

The updated kitchen is a designers dream and will soon be featured in “Better Homes and Gardens”. This amazing kitchen has newly painted cabinets along with new backsplash and designer hardware. The floors are custom stenciled by hand and there are amazing new light fixtures. There is also a very convenient mudroom between the driveway and the kitchen for owners to drop their bags and shoes.

This room is really the hub of the house. The kitchen table is where everyone gathers to talk and share a meal
