In Nigeria today, we live in a society where public display of affection is frowned at. So, I don't think it will be in our faces for now. I think the government can just say they cannot get married, but not that someone who is gay should be thrown in prison. I think the law is too harsh. That policy is put in place in order to deter certain activities because there is always a peculiarity. But we can't apply a thousand rules to address different peculiarities. I believe that laws are made to guide the general behaviour of the populace. I believe the reason why this law was put in place was to discourage this practice; that the people who sat down to come up with this law argued it out. I left the banking industry as a general manager and I was privy to a lot of cases that had to come to me for approval. The truth is that those laws are not enforced. On the hunt at Temple Muse There is nothing this girl loves more than an afternoon of food, champers and shopping so I was très excited when the invitation to peruse the new collections at Temple Muse dropped on my door mat. Love Safari was THE must attend event of last weekend. With the unveiling of the new Tiffany Amber space, new collections showcased by Ida, Cue, Emilio Pucci and Mathew Williamson. Brand spanking new in the Temple Muse stables was Clover Canyon, IUHVK FOHYHU FRQWHPSRUDU\ SLHFHV WKDW OLWHUDOO\ à HZ RII WKH VKHOYHV , came home to campaign for a certain dress and if all goes well by the time you all are reading this article I should be the proud new owner... wish me luck! We were sipping on variations from the house of MoÍt & Chandon from brut rose to nectar imperial and, as always, fabulous appetisers. Ladies that Lunch - Moorhouse 1 Bankole Oki road, Ikoyi Lagos The Moorhouse hotel is a pleasant location in the middle of Ikoyi. It has some very nice public spaces with excellent coffee and speedy internet. I decided to try out their buffet lunch. Its 6,200 NGN per person which seems to be the standard price at all hotels these days for a buffet lunch, they must have had some sort of meeting or something. My overall opinion is that a buffet lunch at the Moorhouse is not money well spent. Compared to the decor in the rest of the public spaces the ambience in the restaurant is rather sterile. The salad bar seemed sparse (although I did love how it was all on a bed of ice) and EVERYTHING was drenched in mayonnaise or salad dressing. Not the good tasting kind. The salad bar is supposed to be full of healthy options and the customer can then choose their dressing options, so this set the tone for a not so enjoyable lunch. My companion was not amused with the hot selections either and ended up not partaking. There was only a small selection and only Nigerian food. Not much in the healthy department to choose IURP , NQRZ LW PXVW EH GLIĂ€FXOW WR SODQ D EXIIHW PHQX LQ WKLV GD\ and age however you must accommodate the healthy eater and the vegetarian. I was also alarmed by how cold my food was even though we arrived at the beginning of the lunch service. The wine list was not exactly bursting with great choices but I thought I would have a glass of white to take the edge off (long story) but everything in the affordable by the glass range was not available. , GRQ¡W NQRZ LI WKLV LV VRPH FXQQLQJ SODQ E\ WKH KRWHO WR PDNH \RX have to buy a more expensive bottle but they just need to update their PHQX VR SDWURQV GRQ¡W JHW XSVHW , HQGHG XS MXVW SDVVLQJ DIWHU WRR PDQ\ ´6RUU\ PD ZH GRQ¡W NHHS WKDW Âľ When it comes to buffet lunches I would recommend the one at Four Points in Oniru for content and atmosphere. The grand finale, which was recorded on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at Dream Studio and was aired nationwide to millions of viewers on Sunday, February 9, 2014 saw Daniel Azuka ‘A-Strings’ emerge second and 9-year-old drummer, David Aduragbemi Adekoya in third place. The world tuned in to Nigeria, as finalists showed their prowess, dazzling judges and viewers, in a final bid to win the keenly contested grand prize of N10 million. “We can’t express how we feel right now. We are just over joyed and are sincerely grateful to Nigerians for believing in us and voting for us,” said the excited duo. “From their impressive costumes to their very well synchronized dance moves, the Robots for Christ were one act that always impressed us,” said a proud Yibo Koko. The grand finale witnessed performances from Nigeria’s Got Talent Season 1 winner, Amarachi Uyanne, Bash the comedian and many more. Robots for Christ will be joining season1 winner Amarachi Uyanne as Airtel Ambassadors.

It was a glamorous evening, penultimate Sunday, as celebrities and other important dignitaries gathered at the Wheatbaker Hotel, Ikoyi, Lagos, to herald the launch of Hello! magazine in the Nigerian and English-speaking West African markets. According to Zanzile Blay, editor of the newly introduced premium magazine, Hello! Nigeria is a scandal-free publication fashioned to celebrate Nigerian icons, royalties and celebrities on a global platform. She informs that it will help to rewrite the Nigerian story and engender positive perception of the country by the global community. Speaking at the event, Group Managing Director, True Tales Publications, publishers of Hello! Nigeria, Anne Omezi, said Nigeria is working hand-in-hand with the owners of the franchise in Spain and will ensure the premium standards that go into the publication of Hello! franchises in more than 22 countries is brought to bear on Hello! Nigeria.
