purchase Job Posting packages from leading job portals, which shell out a good chunk of money. But for startups, new recruitment agencies and freelancers, it is an unaffordable deal. The only question you need to ask is, do you really require these many job postings? This is the first indicator that your recruitment plan has a bug. With online recruitment platforms you can look for need based job postings, where you pay only for what you use. Additionally, these platforms have removed the need of creating separate accounts. With just one click your job will be posted to multiple job portals simultaneously. 2. Still Chasing the Candidates Are you still in the habit of purchasing database from job portals? Do you still depend on your job portals for searching the candidates? Kudos to your efforts! You just succeeded in collecting lakhs of applicants’ details to please your bosses. What next? You call each and every one and ask if they are interested in a job opening with you. The common answers you get – “I have got a new job, I am not looking for a job right now, this profile is not relevant to what I am looking for”. Can you see what just happened? You have wasted your time and money on these unwanted profiles. Stop chasing candidates, let them come to you. While posting a job through web based applicant tracking system, those who are genuinely interested in this job will apply leaving their resumes for your reference. The applicants’ details are stored at one centralized place from where you can make a successful call and chances of bringing a candidate in the hiring process increases exponentially. 3. Candidates are missing Written Assessment Tests You put up those late hours in office just to work out the most awaited written assessment test questionnaire which candidates must appear for. You take the prints and appoint handlers (remember these things come with a cost). On the set day, what if the candidate could not appear for the test? You just missed that one bright candidate which you were looking for till now, only because he could not reach physically to appear for the test. Diminish these boundaries and look for online assessment tests, which can easily be created and stored in an online applicant tracking system. The candidates will receive an email notification that will take them through the online test. The responses are stored in the system and are automatically corrected. Best part, applicants can appear for it from any part of the country. 4. Manually handling loads of Database Busy downloadinguploading resumes through your email? You probably must have maintained many folders in a harddrive separately for these candidates’ list. What if you present recruiter left the company and the next joinee has no idea what to do with these folders? For any future opening you will again frisk those folders and invest your time in studying the resumes again. You don’t have time to waste, your competitors are already a step ahead in grabbing the market. Think smart, use cloud based applicant tracking system that allows you to upload resumes in one database, where you can filter the profiles based on your criteria. The system will parse the resume and pick important keywords to store in the database, so
