FASTCOLLAB HOW EMPLOYERS CAN BE EFFECTIVE AT JOB FAIRS

Job Fairs have always been the most effective way to bring job seekers and make them meet a variety of recruiters, all at one place. For employers, it is also an effective way to increase their talent pool.

1. Advertise the company to its best: When sitting in a job fair booth, just a plain table with few brochures are not going to take employers anywhere. The appearance of a company’s booth should attract strollers even from a far distance. Big readable hoardings, information about the company, available jobs on display are the sure shot attention seekers.

2. Be available for the candidates: Every recruiter wants a good gathering of candidates at their booth. But if candidates are left unattended or halflistened, they will surely look to move on the next booth.

3. Act like a Salesman: Making eye contacts with a stranger is the most testified method salesmen are using since ages.

4. More representatives can communicate better: With big job fairs that attract big number of crowd, but with just a couple of representatives at the booth the situation might become unmanageable. Job seekers will always come with their doubts on what company does, the available jobs, candidate requirements erc. If they are left unattended they might move on to the next booth. 5. Arrange an interview space within booth: The best way to indulge job seekers is if recruiters can conduct an HR screening round at the booth itself. Recruiters can try to understand candidate details, capabilities, experience etc.
