For many of us who work in and are passionate about HR, it could be frustrating to constantly defend the importance of what we do. Some people believe that the role of HR is nothing more than to ensure payrolls submission and maintain important employee details. Myth – Anyone can be an HR:
Reality: HR job is not an easy job and requires a lot of in-depth training. HR activities are based on research and theory. HR professionals are required to master both practice and theory before they can devise strategic policies for a company.

Myth – HR is full of fads:
Reality : HR practices have evolved after rigorous research and experimentation, over a time. Every HR professional handles his/her current work as part of a evolutionary chain. Myth – HR people are always diplomatic: Reality: The role of HR involves dealing with people at various levels of authority, conveying good and bad news, maintaining decorum in the office etc. To ensure that communication takes place harmoniously, there is a need to communicate differently with different people.
