Acting Chairman’s Report Sadly, we record the passing of our Branch Chairman Ross Butler. Ross was a long-time loyal member of our Branch having recently been awarded his 50-year Award. Not only did he organize several innovative runs and events for the Branch, he also served in an administrative way, being Branch Chairman in 1977 until 1981 and again in 1983 and 1984. He served again on the Branch Committee in 1982. He was elected Chairman once more in 2020 and 2021. He served as Secretary from 2005 until 2010 and was Branch Delegate from 1977 until 1982. In recent years Ross headed up the committee for the Parts Shed and since the earthquake in 2010 saw a tremendous leap forward in the re-organisation of spare parts starting with the new commercial shelving and compartmentation of spares. Our sincere condolences are extended to his wife Debbie and family. He will be missed by us all. 13/14/15 August 2021 was a busy weekend for the branch.
