Chairs.
We all have ‘em, or at the very least, have heard of ‘em. Typically, chairs are used for sitting, sometimes standing, oftentimes dumping your clothes on them - you name it. Most people would define a chair as a piece of furniture. Most people wouldn’t stop and think, how does this chair feel about being used, and how does it feel about being abandoned? Let’s face the harsh truth - most people don’t see the soul of a chair. But you and me? No, we see chairs as our loyal colleagues, our faithful friends. Family, even. People like us, we notice an abandoned chair and we find ourselves wondering about the contents of its heart. This booklet is dedicated to all the chairs out there who have been left astray, perhaps eternally waiting for someone to appreciate them once more.

“Accent of Kaunas“
Naturally, people who are visiting places they had never been to before wish to see the most famous sightseeing spots. but while those objects of interest make the language, chairs make the accent.

historical
Our loyal seating friends do not only stay by our side while we are living,
10
for as long as they can keep body and soul together - chairs will act as indicators of the times already passed, as guardians of the monuments marking the events of the before. Looking into these chairs’ souls, one can’t help but wonder what sort of joys and sorrows they have witnessed.
11
social distancing As we’ve already established, history does not evade these common household objects: these particular chairs mark the hardships of the people in the year 2020. Unfotunately, being inanimate objects, chairs cannot protect themselves the way humans do. But at least they have enough common sense to keep their distance, unlike some people.

One of these chairs is infected. There is no way of knowing which. Stay home.

Rules. Laws. Regulations. It is up to us whether we break them or abide them. Studies show that most chairs are of the True Neutral alignment - they will support you either way! 15
save point
When life becomes too overwhelming and you want to take a break, these chairs will always be there for you.
16
Seek them out in shadowy and secluded corners they tend to stay out of the way & wait for when you need them.
When you die, you can always reload and continue from these chairs, but only if you don’t forget to save. Scientists HATE them!
17
STRESSED OUT Society has always pushed many expectations upon chairs, especially in the modern day. We use them both in and outdoors, we sit, stand, sleep on them - geez, can’t we just sit somewhere else, or invest in a standing desk for Seat’s sake?! We have them hold our things - even if we have access to other furniture designed specifically for that purpose.
18
Has anyone ever considered that chairs have a limit too? They don’t live to serve us, they live to be happy. When a chair is overworked, it may suffer from a broken leg or a stiff backrest. When that happens,
tragically, most opt to dispose of them, without even giving it a second chance. Everyone deserves fair treatment, even a broken piece of furniture.
19
lost chair After having been thrown away, a chair might find itself feeling incredibly hopeless. But hope is never truly lost. After all, it is not the only lonely chair in the world!
20
Fate isn’t always a ruthless entity - it has a cheeky personality, finding amusement in making chairs and people alike go through hardships, and in turn rewarding them with new hope and appreciation for things they hadn’t noticed before.
These lost chairs have gone through a lot, but they have found each other in the end. Together, they are each other’s salvation.
in our otherwise cold and scary world, they have built their own sanctuary.

Beneath the surface there is always an ocean, a sea, a lake, or at the very least, a puddle of color to be discovered. Things that may seem dull at first sight have much beauty to show and many stories to tell. I encourage you to look around you & take a moment to notice the little things that make your day just a little brighter and easier to survive. I sincerely hope that this booklet will bring some peace to the lost souls whom I have encountered throughout my life.
To all my readers and all their chairs: you are loved.
