Exhibition “Lightyear” joins the efforts of three peers and buddies of Vilnius Academy of arts Kaunas Faculty – painter Aušra Vaitkūnienė, graphic artist Rolandas Rimkūnas and philosopher Stasys Mostauskis, who find their own individual ways of transferring their mundane and, in a way, existential conversations into an exhibition.
“Lightyear” is a merry change from the habitual relationship as it is not a theoretician who is discussing artists, but vice versa, artists are examining a theoretician.
The exhibition was inspired by belief that each artistic effort is first of all a discussion originating from the need to find shared grounds for communication. All other differences, including artistic ones, are only of secondary importance.
Therefore, it is not painting, graphic art and text but it is the uniting effort seeking for answers to questions arising in real life.
