15 power generation assets have been developed by the GMR Group of which eight are operational and seven are under various stages of development. With its presence across the entire energy value chain, the GMR Group is today a prominent contributor to the Indian power sector with installed capacity of over 4600 MW and is well poised to emerge as one of the largest private power producers in India.

Tamil Nadu Defence Corridor initiated by Ministry of Defence aims at boosting the indigenisation of defence sector by bringing in all stakeholders under one big umbrella. The five nodes of Tamil Nadu Defence Corridor are Chennai, Hosur, Coimbatore, Tiruchirappalli and Salem Tamil Nadu Business Facilitation Act, 2018, facilitates a single point receipt of applications for securing clearances that are required to establish or expand an enterprise, and also clearances required during normal course of business, including renewals in a time-bound manner. It will also provide for effective grievance redressal mechanism and impose fine in case of failure of competent authorities to act within a time limit
