In this new book, author Emma Roig Askari and photographer Ricardo Labougle capture this private side of Ibiza – showcasing dream homes belonging to such luminaries as architect Daniel Romualdez, designer Miranda Makaroff, entrepreneur Bobby Dekeyser, Eugenia Martínez de Irujo, 12th Duchess of Montoro, and many more. These houses bear the strong imprint of their owners’ personalities combined with the innate magnetism and tranquility of the island, away from its partycentric stereotype. More than a look at extraordinary homes, Inside Ibiza is a tribute to the beauty of the island’s interiors and the irresistible energy of this most famous of the Balearic Islands.
Emma Roig Askari, contributing editor and columnist for Vanity Fair Spain, has a decades-long journalistic career, interviewing the likes of Fidel Castro, Manolo Blahnik, Francis Ford Coppola, and Rafael Nadal. She worked for global news outlets El País, CNN, and CBS. Her love of architecture, art, and interior design merge across the houses she has decorated in New York, London, Ibiza, and Madrid. From Valencia, Roig Askari is a Fulbright Scholar with an MA from NYU, and a Journalism BA from Madrid. She lives between Spain and London, where she serves as a Christie’s ambassador. Ricardo Labougle has been photographing interiors and portraits for over 25 years, contributing to World of Interiors, AD, Vogue, Vanity Fair and T Magazine. His books include Vendome’s Inside Paris (2024). His personal work has been shown in Madrid, Milan, and Buenos Aires. The author of the acclaimed Living Well by Design now harnesses the power of design to create a healthy home that not only looks beautiful but also contributes to our quality of life. In her new book, internationally renowned design and style authority Melissa Penfold turns her attention from the basics of interior decorating to demonstrating what a powerful force design can be in boosting our physical and emotional well-being. Each chapter is devoted to an aspect of healthy, life-enhancing design, including “Ease,” “Flow,” “Light,” “Nature,” “Timelessness,” and “Awe.” All underscore the importance of introducing lots of natural light; using natural, non-toxic materials (clay plaster, timber, stone); incorporating nature into our homes, whether through views of the outside world or by filling our interior with plants; creating lots of storage (mess is stress); and recognizing the power that color has on our state of mind. Illustrating each chapter are photographs of beautiful rooms in homes around the world that embody the salutary properties of Natural Living by Design
A longtime design columnist for the Sydney Morning Herald and contributor to all of Australia’s major publications, including Vogue Living, Belle, House and Garden, Marie Claire, and Harper’s Bazaar, Melissa Penfold has been crowned “Queen of Style” by the country’s media. In these pages you’ll get a close-up look at 50 painters, sculptors, printmakers, photographers, and mixed-media artists living and working on the famed East End of Long Island, New York. Photographer Jaime Lopez has captured each artist both in revealing portraits and at work in their studios; journalist and curator Coco Myers has contributed insightful interviews. And while the legacy of artists like Jackson Pollock, Lee Krasner, Willem de Kooning etc. remains strong, the area continues to be rich in talent today. Lopez’s photographs and Myers’s text reveal the creativity, intelligence, and humor of these artists as well as the vibe of their workplaces featuring the tools of their craft.
Born in Peru, Jaime Lopez studied graphic design at Parsons School of Design. His fashion photographs have been published in Elle, Marie Claire, Hola!, Cosmopolitan etc. He continues to photograph artists, writers, models and the world around him. Coco Myers grew up in East Hampton among the Abstract Expressionists. Earning an art history B.A. at Princeton, she worked as a magazine editor and writer at Elle, Mirabella and Allure. The Tom Scheerer Compendium
Text by Tom Scheerer and Mimi Read
Photography by Francesco Lagnese
The best work by Tom Scheerer, the contemporary dean of American interior design, presented in a two–volume set at an attractive price
Elegant. Restrained. Unpretentious. Sophisticated. Informal. These seemingly contradictory adjectives all characterize the inimitable interior design of Tom Scheerer, who has himself dubbed his style “Relaxed Modernism.” For over three decades, he has brought his singular touch to city apartments, country houses, and tropical getaways. Each of the dozens of projects compiled in this two–volume set reveals the fierce intelligence, impeccable sense of proportion, and encyclopedic knowledge of design history that inform his deceptively effortless work. In a New York Times review of Tom Scheerer Decorates, designer David Netto describes it as “a highly personal exploration of the vanishing art of great American design... Scheerer is perhaps its most expert proponent today.” This collection, slipcased in the pattern of the designer’s signature caning, confirms Scheerer’s inclusion in the American design pantheon.

Inside Yucatán: Hidden Mérida and Beyond
Susana Ordovás
Photography by Guido Taroni
Foreword by Martina Mondadori
Exploring forgotten regions of Mexico’s Yucatán Peninsula, Susana Ordovás and photographer Guido Taroni uncover the faded splendor of both neglected and restored homes
At the turn of the 20th century, more millionaires lived in Mérida than in any other city in the world, building lavish homes into the surrounding tropical greenery like hidden jewels. Over time, crumbling structures lie in place of what were once vibrant, ornately-decorated estates. But Ordovás reveals Yucatán’s “forsaken, decaying ruins, remnants of an illustrious past…are awakening from a centuries–old siesta.” Guido Taroni’s evocative photographs of the 27 residences in such places as Izamal, Mérida, and Valladolid, show the beauty in what remains of the homes’ diverse styles, from colonial to Renaissance, Medieval to Moorish, and even a mix of all. Setting the houses in context, 3 maps have been beautifully illustrated by renowned artist Jesús Cisneros.

Sean Scherer’s Vignettes
Sean Scherer
Designer, collector, and proprietor of the contemporary curiosity shop Kabinett & Kammer, Sean Scherer shares his secrets for composing vignettes of favorite objects, showing creative ways to incorporate both cherished possessions and flea–market finds
In the introduction to Sean Scherer’s first book, Anderson Cooper writes, “Scherer has a unique ability to place otherwise ordinary objects in a completely unexpected context or grouping and in so doing change the way you see them.” In this new book, Scherer focuses on the art of combining common objects into aesthetically pleasing groupings, or vignettes. Contending that a vignette can set the whole mood and tone of a room, he shows you how to use any surface in your home, from a tabletop to a bookshelf to a wall, to create lively displays of your favorite items. Beautifully illustrated with Scherer’s own photographs, he demonstrates how to balance color, texture, and shape, and provides lessons on how to create both symmetrical and asymmetrical vignettes.

The Maine House II
Maura McEvoy, Basha Burwell, Kathleen Hackett
Photography by Maura McEvoy
The authors of The Maine House continue to celebrate the authentic houses of their childhoods - a Maine that is in danger of vanishing
When The Maine House was published, the reception was astonishing, summed up perfectly in one of many reviews, that it “crafts a plea to preserve a living history belonging to individual, family, and state; a visual call to recognize these homey structures and others like them as ‘extraordinary gifts.’”The Maine House II continues the authors’ cri de coeur. Through 25 homes – inshore, inland, on islands – McEvoy, Burwell and Hackett highlight the beauty and importance of preservation, thoughtful renovation, and low-impact living in the place they love the most. From visionaries who saw home in a decommissioned lighthouse, a former hotel, and a boat shed to families resolutely leaving generational homes largely untouched and still others, The Maine House II captures the myriad ways one can live in this singular place – in the present – while preserving the past and ensuring its future.
