CONCERN:

SETTLEMENT 1

Most of the quarries are abandoned once its resouces are depleted. This in one of the abandoned quarry located in Bettahalasuru on the outskirts of Bangalore, India. OBJECTIVE: The intention was to create an education center which focus on rejuvenate the dead quarry, spread awarness about dead quarries to the visitors and also employ the local labors who livelihood were dependent on quarry earlier.

Conclusion: Sunlight is the next generation energy source. Solar Energy is a non-polluting energy source and at the same time, the availability of it is infinite. So it is a very reliable energy source for future. This thesis is an exploration of a new built form which capture six hours of direct sunlight for farmlands in all months. The solar panels helped in sufficient energy generation throughout the year. Hence the use of entire solar energy incident on a building surface efficiently helps in reducing the heat gain in Earth’s atmosphere. This building does notSectional relyDetail on energy or resources from outside, thus being completely sustainable.

Perennial plants are preferred so as to have year-round food production. Sectional Detail Study on detail planning of farm has been done on square foot basis. But due to page constraint, it is not been presented here.
