SOLVING BACKPAIN THROUGH ELEGANT SENSING AND CUSTOM COACHING
Back pain is the most prevalent source of chronic pain, and the leading cause of disability for Americans under the age of 45. Working at desks, slouching over phones, and leaning over keyboards, millions of people put themselves at risk for back pain because of poor posture. Awareness of posture is key to transforming bad habits that form early and do damage over time. By holding your body in good posture, you strengthen your core and supporting muscles, building good musle memory and protecting your back. Good posture is also tied to everything from stress to confidence, appearance, and general well-being. So what if we had a sensitive and subtle way to know immediately when we started to slouch, a quiet reminder felt only by ourselves? The Lumo Lift approaches posture in a way that’s never been done before. Clipped onto your shirt, right below your collarbone using a secure magnetic clasp, the Lumo Lift tracks your posture and activity. Using subtle vibrations as feedback, it will gently vibrate to remind you to straighten up your posture every time you begin to slouch. Patented biomechanics monitoring sensors in the Lumo Lift use angle displacement as a measure to let you know when your body slouches away from what you’ve calibrated as your standard of good posture. The customizable time delay for vibrational feedback allows for a personalized posture coaching experience. With the integration of technology, the Lumo Lift is the agent of change needed to improve your posture long-term. Being able to consistently sit and stand with a posture that supports overall health and well-being involves learning with the body as well as with the mind. The Lumo Lift situates learning in real time, permitting you to make the steady small adjustments that quickly become vitally useful habits in daily life.

Haven is the newest, most beautiful nail salon in downtown Denver. The interior was thoughtfully designed for style, comfort, and exceptional hygiene. We make it our business to understand our customer’s needs. Upon your first visit, we’ll ask a few questions to get to know what you like and how you like it. Your preferences will be saved in our database so the next time you come in, we can hit the ground running to give you the service you expect and the relaxation you desire. My staff and I are germaphobes and neat freaks, which works in your favor. All of our buffers and files are one-use and the tools we use on your hands and feet are sterilized in an autoclave (i.e. dental / medical grade sterilization equipment) after every single use.
Our resin pedicure bowls are not attached to any plumbing so there is no chance of bacteria sneaking into the bowl via a dirty pipe connection. Plus, this makes the bowls a thousand times easier to get crystal clean because there are no scary holes like the jetted tubs at most salons have. We are committed to consistently providing the most hygienic environment possible so you can fully relax and enjoy the experience!

INTIMATE INVESTMENTS An Operational Relationship
W
by Emily Weng
e all strive for balance in our lives, but how many of us achieve it? How often have you heard someone you know, or even yourself say, “I just don’t have time.” Time is an illusion, yet it often stops people from starting a new business venture. Well I have great news, if you are reading this magazine you are already one step ahead! You didn’t allow “time”, or any other excuse to stop you from applying yourself. You should literally pat yourself on the back for not allowing anything to stop you from achieving your goals. The mind is a very powerful tool and if you tell yourself you can’t, then you are right. However, if you say, I can and never stop when someone tells you no, you’ll watch magic begin to unfold. Entrepreneurship is not for those that give up at single no, we were all taught at a young age to never give up. Take for example the children’s book, Thomas the Train, The Little Engine That Could. Thomas proved to us that anything is possible as long as we continue to drive.
or love life with an LLC, C Corp or S Corp, would you put more effort into its success? For instance, let’s say you started a company called Operational Marriage, LLC. When you birthed this company, did you consider the possibilities of it failing?
You must treat your relationship like a business. If you’re operating a thriving business you find what it takes to make it successful. What would the outcome be If tomorrow you decided to take a hiatus on doing the things that made your business flourish e.g. stopped calling clients back, not showing up for meetings, not checking to make sure your employees are doing the things you hired them to do, or having the attitude that your clients love.. your clients, would no longer be your clients, and they would most likely find another professional to take care of their immediate needs. Your partner might feel the same? I value great customer service in business, and my own loyalties would fade once I felt a business no longer cared about my needs. I would do the same in a relationship. We all need to know that we are If anyone wants something bad enough, they cherished and appreciated in our efforts from the will do whatever it takes and nothing will stop one we hold most dear.. them, not even time. Entrepreneurs know that running a business requires energy, time, drive, Divorce rates are at an all-time high because we love and never giving up. That said, why do we give have adopted the “microwave mentality” it’s quick up on our relationships? Why don’t we treat our and easy, but it can also rid us of the nutritional relationships with the same like the very business value, yet we accept this in the name of saving time we created? Let’s face it, relationships require and energy. The truth is, we do have plenty time, nurturing and they can’t run themselves, just like but we are not being present with the time that we our companies. Here is a serious question for you do have! Lack of time becomes an excuse, when we to ponder, if you labeled your marriage, dating life, are on our phones during dinner, thinking about VENTREMAGAZINE.COM FEB 2016

work while we are talking to our family, basically checking out every opportunity we have to be present and make headway. If you do not make time for love and nurturing in your schedule, it may be time to pull out the business plan and peek at your exit strategy. Let’s just hope you do not have the same exit strategy for your relationships. If so you may need to re-evaluate the terms.. Now that I have your undivided attention, here are some of the suggestions that I would offer my clients: THE EARLY BIRD GETS THE WORM: Wake up an hour early each day and do not touch your phone or any electronics for the first hour. When I made this change in my life, I realized what it was like to be present again. The phone was an addiction of mine, and I would often wake up and grab my phone immediately. I thought I had to constantly be on my phone to review social media posts, texts, emails, calls from clients and even scrolling through others status updates so I could stay updated on the people I care about. Calling someone I care about would have far more impact than just liking their status update. I use social media for business and keeping up with family, but it does not run my life anymore. Did taking time out for myself hurt my business? No it actually made it better, and my relationship also saw massive improvements because I was being present with myself, and with the love of my life. One hour of quality time will not kill the productivity of your business, friendships, or your relationship, it will enhance it. Use this time for you, meditate, exercise, write, read a book, or find something that’s therapeutic for you. Once that hour is up, you will feel recharged and ready to take on the day. SCHEDULE A MEETING: Schedule a date night with your lover every week. This night is just for you and your significant other, no one else is invited. Your job that night is to get to know your lover, be present and do not talk about business at all. This night is for investing in your most important business, your relationship. Electronics are making our personalities produce robot like responses and actions. Leave your phone at home during date night. I started leaving my phone at home while I
am at the gym. In just a few weeks, I noticed results. A great example of how your phones putting the brakes on many times have you seen the same people at the gym for over a year, and yet their body does not change at all? Did you also notice that same person is investing in social protein cocktail hour, or on their phone? YEP, the more you start taking your time seriously, others around you will value your time and efforts, you will find the time that you once thought you didn’t have, and you will begin to see the results. I also shake my head when we go to dinner and I look around and see couples across from each other and both on their cell phones or caring more about taking a photo to post on social media, then staying on the phone to see what Aunt Gina said about your picture. You appear happy in the photo, but you are more involved with the device in your hands, than the person sitting next to you. That’s a recipe for disaster, and you might as well have ordered your divorce on the menu. We must make time for eye-gazing, connection in conversation and touch. Next time you open your device think about what was read here, I hope this changes the way you look at every time slot. Each slot is not time, it’s an opportunity to be present with everything you believe in, Operational Marriage, Operational You, and Operational Entrepreneurship. Challenge yourself and your relationships with a newfound image of what you could be. We all strive for balance, and when we make investments to achieve balance, our new balance will produce a great ROI (return on investment).

hen you make the decision to dine out, what determines your final destination? Is it the atmosphere, the location, the drinks, the food culture, your budget? Well for me, it’s all of the above. As a vegetarian and wife to a man who enjoys eating meat once and awhile, it is very difficult for us to find a great place to eat that will please both our palettes. We have found THAT place at Root Down.
14 VENTRE
Arriving at Root Down, you have the option to valet park, which is extremely convenient and very much worth it when you’re in heels (or not) and it’s below freezing. Plus there’s the added bonus that when it’s time to leave, and the temperature has dropped another 10 degrees, you don’t have to remember the block, or hill on which you parked your car. |

My husband and I are extremely particular when choosing where to invest our money, even when it comes to dining out. As entreprenuers, we make a conscience effort to support locally owned restaurants. Why? Because when we do, we not only know where the money is going, we also find fantastic tasting food with passion in every bite. Our reservations were at 6:00 and we were seated right away. What! Yes, right away. As we were escorted to our table, the aroma of herbs and spices permeated the space. The skyline of downtown Denver on one side and a busseling kitchen staff on the other. (I always think it’s a good sign when a restaurant WANTS you see behind the scenes!) As we sat down, I felt pure excitement in anticipation of what lay ahead. As I discovered later, the food was just as colorful and aestetically pleasing as the decor. The menu....oh the menu. As I previewed each option, my tongue began to salivate. I had never imagined combinations like these! After many questions to our knowledgeable waitress, we were ready to place our order.
our expectations. I was excited for each bite. It’s almost as if each bite was like the first. I soon discovered the food was a business and my tastebuds were fully invested. The ability to prepare fine cuisine for perfect strangers should be considered an art. I’m not only refering to the way it was presented, but the way it was prepared. The combinations were put together brilliantly. The food literally aroused my senses evoking feelings and emotions of joy and satisfaction. My brain raced for memories of similar taste, but could find no reference. I won’t tell you exactly what we ate, because chances are, the menu will be completely different when you visit. They keep it seasonal, they keep it fresh, they keep you yearning for more. You simply have to make reservations and experience it for yourself!
The chef puts as much work into the appetizers as he does the main course. The desserts won’t disappoint either. It’s a joy to experience such passion and mastery of talent. This was indeed a unique dinning experience and one we won’t Have you ever decided on a soon forget. meal and anticipated what it would taste like, only to end Learn more about owner, Justin up disappointed? ustin Cucci has a long history in the restaurant industry — he and his family owned and ran the notable Waverly Inn in New York City from 1956 to 1994. He took his first steps in the dining room, where the servers unofficially provided daycare.
After pursuing a degree in computer science, he decided it wasn’t for him. He dropped out of college to work in his family’s restaurant. Shortly after his return, the restaurant was sold to Graydon Carter, editor-in-chief of Vanity Fair. Seeking a change of pace, Justin headed to Key West to open two successful restaurants over a period of 10 years. In between, he moved to Denver for kitchen positions at The Beehive, where he was fired after his first day, but rehired after persistently showing up at the restaurant on a daily basis. With both ventures, he saw the importance of connecting a neighborhood to a dining experience in the same way ingredients are connected to the food. Justin moved to Denver permanently in 2008 and opened Root Down, a restaurant known for its accessible and inclusive culinary sophistication. Root Down has gained a loyal following and much critical acclaim for its globallyinspired seasonal cuisine. A few years later he opened Linger, one of Denver’s most popular restaurants serving global street foods with an inventive bar program to match. His next venture, Root Down DIA, took Root

Riddle me this… What do bicycles, wine, food trucks, and coffee all have in common? The answer… Precision Pours in Louisville, Colorado…
“Precision Pours is a singular coffee shop. Not only did Brice make me the best coffee I have ever tasted, he is also a fascinating individual and a great conversationalist. Brice is bringing back the coffee shop as a community social nucleus by encouraging his guests to philosophize and engage, rather than dissolve into their own isolated worlds behind the screens of laptops. It is the type of place Jack Kerouac himself would have enjoyed, had he passed through Louisville on his travels.”
LIKE FINE WINE... Brice Young, the brains, brawn, and creative genius behind Precision Pours took a rather untraditional route to business ownership, but his success to date is making everyone sit up and take notice. With a few hundred dollars and the help of his dad, Young put together a mobile coffee bar that would seat four and make regular treks to local farmers markets on the hunt for the best in coffee beans from local roasters. The mobile coffee house became quickly known as it followed cyclocross races and Boulder’s Caffeine Crawl. So well known, in fact, he decided that a brick and mortar building was the way to go so that he could always be found. With the help of Indiegogo and loyal coffee connoisseurs, Young opened up shop on April 23, 2015 at 1030 S. Boulder Rd. Young also maintains that just as each genus of grape creates a unique flavor giving us shiraz, pinot noir, merlot, and champagne, where and how a coffee bean is grown and prepared produces a unique body, flavor, and scent that we can, if we pay attention, detect with each life giving sip. The distinctiveness of each cup is your own work of art, carefully prepared by a Master Artisan, which will bring you back again and again and again.

5 THE INSIDE JOB
QUESTIONS TO ASK BEFORE YOU QUIT If you set a New Year’s Resolution, chances are, you’re about to give up on them, if you haven’t already. As with anything worthwhile, you’re going to encounter obstacles. These obstacles will test your resolve, meaning your commitment and dedication to the cause. You’re not alone. It happens to everyone. I’m not going to tell you not to quit, but I want you to ask yourself the following 5 questions before you do.
1. Can the goal be broken 2.
3.
of how far you have to go can prematurely exhaust your resolve, making it so that you quit on your goals after barely starting. Setting micro-goals give you an early sense of accomplishment and restored motivation to keep moving forward.
We don’t have the answers or resources we need. We feel lost and unable to achieve desired results. Sometimes the answer to the question lies in outside resources. Yes! There is a certain amount of vulnerability required to ask someone questions that reveal your lack of knowledge, but if you want the answers bad enough, you’ll have to overcome that feeling. Most people are more than happy to share what they know; you only need to ask.
What are the Have I sought proper down into stages? Like long consequences or rewards counsel? Sometimes we just distance running, the thought for quitting? Will quitting don’t know how to move forward.

make your life better, worse or will it remain neutral? Not all things are worth pursuing, especially if it doesn’t add value to your life. However, if you thought enough to make this a resolution, you must’ve felt it would add value. If you honestly determine later that it won’t, maybe it’s best not to have the added pressure.
4.
Why did I make this resolution? Test and trials can be so overwhelming at times that they cause us to forget why we chose our path. Chances are, your reason for starting still exists. Asking this question will help you get back to basics and possibly rekindle your desire to achieve the goal you set out to conquer.
5. Do I want this to be part of my life’s story? Every choice
you make in life becomes part of your story. How would you like your story to read? Do you want a story that say’s, “I tried, things got tough, so I quit,” or would you like a triumphant story of which you can be proud to tell your children?
Ask yourself these five questions and whatever you decide, be at peace with it. Beating yourself up with judgment can have adverse affects on your life. It is your life to live, make it the best life possible.

Amazing can only be achieved by breaking boundaries. Nothing truly great ever came out of following the rules. To win some, you have to lose some. This was the mindset that led to the foundation of OnePiece, one lazy Sunday in Oslo, 2007. In an effort to capture and conceptualize the essence of a carefree Sunday filled with beautiful nothingness, the idea of a brand built around the art of slacking was born. Simple ideas are often the greatest; whilst searching for the pinnacle of slackerwear, the idea of tying together a hoodie with a pair sweatpants using a giant zipper ended up in what would become the OnePiece Jumpsuit, the very core product of the brand. Some said it would look stupid, some said it wouldn’t last, most people agreed it wouldn’t work out. However, always going against the grain, we followed our utopian vision of creating the most innovative and premium leisurewear. The result was a worldwide phenomenon of re-engineered jumpsuits that ventured out from people’s homes and onto the streets and clubs. In our crusade against rules, norms and anything not perfectly comfortable; we are the originals, the experts and the dedicated. We are not here to jump in and out of any trends or to stay ahead of any curve. We are here because we love what we do and we believe in what we represent. We’re the slackers, the standouts and the fashion misfits. Someone has to be the one sitting furthest back in the classroom - and in the fashion industry, that’s us.
ONEPIECE STORY AND

NATURAL FREQUENCIES AND THEIR ORIGIN Events on earth such as thunderstorms and in outer space such as intense solar activity constantly produce extremely low frequency electromagnetic waves below 40 Hertz. Did you know that lightning strikes somewhere around the globe several times every second of the day? This produces a constant supply of natural frequencies that circle the earth, trapped between the earth’s surface and ionosphere, energy available to Philip Stein.
THE DISCOVERY
METHODOLOGY
In 1952 German physicist Winfried Otto Schumann proposed the existence of natural electromagnetic waves surrounding our planet. Eight years later, in Germany biologist Ruetger Wever used a variety of experiments to show that these Schumann Resonances can positively influence health, performance and overall wellbeing of humans. It wasn’t until the late 70’s that these Schumann frequencies were detected from a balloon by a Japanese research team. We believe that all organisms have evolved or grown accustomed to these natural frequencies, and our systems are tuned to operate best with them, rather than with the increasing number of man-made frequencies we experience daily in our modern world.
At Philip Stein we believe that everything on the earth operates ideally when exposed to natural frequencies.
Watch Video and learn more at
But in our modern world, we are surrounded by many man-made electromagnetic frequencies generated by electrical power lines and appliances, WiFi transmissions and mobile phones. These artificial frequencies compete with, and overpower the natural ones and can put us out of tune with our planet. Philip Stein’s Natural Frequency Technology was discovered and developed by a group of engineers and scientists committed to harness the positive influence natural frequencies have on human being. Years later after careful research, tuning, and testing, our engineers have identified the various different frequencycombinations best suited for balance, relaxation, focus and those for sleep. Their continued efforts and dedication are at the core of all of our products.
Each Philip Stein lifestyle product contains a metal component that acts like a tuned antenna, which harvests the nearly uninterrupted supply of natural frequencies that constantly circle the earth and channeling them to your body. Our antennae are finely tuned to only pick up combinations of frequencies between 0.2 and 32.5 Hertz, which we believe are beneficial for overall wellbeing or sleep, while ignoring the rest. Our watches and bracelets channel the frequencies associated with relaxation and focus to help you during your busy day. Our Sleep Bracelets harvests different frequencies – those associated with sleep allowing you to awake refreshed.

CEO OF
IMPERFECT PRODUCE Tells How He Turned Ugly Produce into a Thriving Business to Help End Food Waste

hen Ben Simon and Ben Chesler teamed up with Ron Clark, they made it their mission to begin rescuing ugly fruits and vegetables from the garbage bin. Food that was in fact perfectly edible, but imperfect to look at.

“20% of the food grown by American farmers was going into landfills simply because it didn’t live up to the grocery industry’s beauty standards.”
They discovered it was such a problem that up to 20% of the food grown by American farmers was going into landfills simply because it didn’t live up to the grocery industry’s beauty standards. Admittedly, these aren’t just three guys out to save apples and broccoli from the dumpster by simple happenstance. Among the three, they have a combined 20 years working with hungerfighting organizations, but this idea was something new and different, even for them. Ben and Ben are the co-founders of the Food Recovery Network, an organization that “unites students on college campuses to fight food wasted and hunger by recovering perishable food that would otherwise go to waste from their campuses and communities and donating it to people in need”, and when they met Ron at a food waste gathering held in Berkeley in October of 2014 the magic sparked. They were so impressed with what he knew about ugly produce, the initial idea for Imperfect Produce was born...

However, like all companies, it still had to have some working capital, the farmers weren’t simply going to “donate” the food even if it was going to go to the landfill instead if Imperfect Produce didn’t purchase it. They did their first crowdfunder and raised $38,000 from friends and family as “seed” money. Since then, they have been raising far more through a second round from interested investors who also believe in the project. 34 VENTRE

Ron already had relationships built with many California growers and the Bay area seemed like a receptive, openminded audience to test out the concept. Ben and Ben moved to Oakland, CA in July of 2015 and that’s when things really started to move for this seedling company, although they admit to spending several months of that beforehand doing the prep work before making the move.
While their operations are confined almost entirely to California at this time, Imperfect Produce is growing at a rate that is admirable. They work now with between 20-30 local farms and have approximately 1,500 customers on recurring subscriptions in the Oakland, Berkeley, Albany, Alameda, and Emeryville areas, and have public pick-up locations in San Francisco, Lafayette, and Concord, California. They’ve
even got a pilot program running for the past several months with selling ugly produce to supermarkets. Raley’s, a grocery store in the Sacramento area, has been purchasing from them since July, and meetings are scheduled to discuss whether or not to expand the program. cont...
“Imperfect gives consumers the chance to buy delicious, wonky-looking produce at a discount. So instead of going to waste, all those oddlooking fruits and vegetables will be helping Americans eat healthier, at a price they can afford.”

Like many of us, these fruits and veggies are just fine on the inside. Maybe a little lumpy in the wrong place, bumpy on the outside, perhaps an unsightly blemish or wart in an unfortunate location. However, also like us, it’s not what’s on the outside that matter’s. Imperfect Produce’s Operation’s Team inspects everything as it comes in then takes samples of each of the items to make sure the taste, freshness, and durability is up to par. They sort through all of the product and either approve it for the box, or send it for donation or compost it. Nothing is ever wasted. Ben, Ben, and Ron have taken an ugly product and turned it into a thing beauty. They now employ ten full-time and twenty part-time employees with plans for expansion in the near future. In January 2016 they rolled out box customization where a customer can now choose not only size, but what kind of fruits and vegetables they might receive based on availability, their first all-organic box, and a new branded box with recipes in it each week. Things are looking pretty perfect for their future, indeed.

These pears were judged to be too irregular in shape with “unsightly” surface blemishes.
NEW CHANGES FOR 2016!
You can now customize your box! Each week, you’ll get a link to customize what fruits and veggies you get so you can always make the perfect box. With customization, pricing is changing.Pricing is going up slightly and will now be a range each week, depending on the items in the box. For example, our Medium size box will cost $14-16 each week. Every produce item is now priced individually so you only pay for what you want, and our new pricing is still 30% cheaper than local grocery stores.
ORGANIC IS HERE!
We heard your resounding call for organic. So we traveled to local farms and set up new relationships to source organic uglies for you. You’ll notice this week’s box is all organic (except the chard) as a preview for what will be available in the new year!
MORE SIZE OPTIONS!
We’ve added a Small and an XL option for our Mixed Produce Box. The Fruit Box and Veggie Box also now come in our new Small size.
NEW LOOK & FEEL!
We have new box for you – it’s sturdier and designed by a local artist!

NAKED HEALTHY
NAKED HEALTHY WHY BETTER SEX with Adam Gates
STARTS IN THE KITCHEN There is a rarely talked about, yet growing issue in our sexual culture. Convenient food is having a deep impact on the sex lives of millions of people. If you knew the food you were eating was reducing the enjoyment of your intimacy and orgasms, would that motivate you enough to change a few things? Ladies, if you could have more control over your contractions and increase sensitivity, would you? Gentlemen, if you could be erect like you want to be, All the time, Every time, without dangerous pills, would that be enough of a reason to pass on the burgers and sodas for a wiser choice? It is very simply attainable and you don’t have to buy anything special. Actually, quite the contrary, you should stop buying most of the things you have been. Soda, fruit juice, wheat, products with flour, tv dinners, jerkey..... The processed stuff. For a good reason, my mantra is “Don’t eat food with ingredients.” It’s the easiest way to know how to shop. When you flip a package open to a list of unknown ingredients, where do you think they end up after you eat them? They take a very hard toll on your body after years and years of consumption. Poor diet and lack of exercise are hands down the destroyer of more bedroom fun than anything else. Today, I’m focusing on the food. An array of sugar’s, artificial sugar and mutated sugar like high fructose corn syrup are added to 80% of the 600,000 items at your average grocery store. Years ago companies all started removing fat from their products to be able to claim “fat free”, but replaced the fat with sugar. Which is actually far worse for your health. When we consume this overly processed 38 VENTRE

garbage and sugar it overloads the liver and it turns the sugars into tiny pieces of fat or plaque. The more plague builds up, the higher your LDL, or bad cholesterol will be. That fat is then released into your bloodstream. Think of dropping small chunks of cotton balls into your drain everyday for an extended period. Water would gradually slow to a clog. This is how sugar and unhealthy fats effect your blood flow. Fast food, dairy, anything high in preservatives, canned food, energy drinks, fruit juice, soda and flour, breads, dairy, alcohol and cigarettes all are culprits to decreased blood flow. Then you would naturally think, “well they can kiss my sneaky ass; I’ll buy sugar free.” I thought you’d think that. It’s actually quite the opposite. The sugar replacements such as Aspartame, Nutra Sweet, Splenda, Equal among the others actually promote MORE weight gain than the real sugar or even
H.F.C.S. Aspartame accounts for over 75% of adverse reactions to food additives reported to the FDA. Symptoms ranging from neurological damage, migraines, loss of eye sight, blindness, severe intestinal damage, vertigo, memory loss, joint pain, Insomnia seizures, anxiety, depression and literally dozens more but you get the point. You don’t want that in your system. All those 0 calorie snacks are very dangerous. Never buy diet anything! Since most people on this planet either have a penis or really enjoy one, I’m going to no pun intended, touch on that. The penis is literally an extension of a man’s health. 50% of men by age 50 experience erectile dysfunction. Why is that number is so frighteningly high? The body is exactly the same as your car. If you don’t clean it, take care of it and/or ignore maintenance, piece by piece, things start to go wrong. Some may go unnoticed, but eventually, major breakdowns occur. I don’t want that. You don’t want that. The penis is directly linked to the heart. If you have heart issues, you have or soon will have penis issues. Think about it! The heart pumps oxygen, nutrients and blood right? Through basically thousands of miles of tiny pipes in your body. The penis has no muscle in it. To become erect, there are columns of tissue that fill with blood. The heart must get as much blood into the furthest extremities of the penis as possible. It’s
the exact same as a balloon animal. If Chuckles doesn’t blow enough air into the poodle, Timmy’s cross armed mom is gonna be pissed and want her money back. No one wants a limp poodle. So work backwards. What affects circulation and the heart? Unfortunately most of the things people would tend to gravitate towards as comfort items such as sugar, flour.... fun, easy to eat, tasty stuff. You know how the older people get, the colder their finger tips and toes are. That’s because of poor circulation. The blood is not reaching where it used to due to blockages and inactivity. If you dropped every bad health habit right this second and started eating real food, you would notice improvements within the week. The human body has an amazing healing capability. All it needs is the right tools and it does its job. It’s tools are nutrients. Fruits and veggies, especially raw, are what you want to be eating and drinking to get everything working at full efficiency. Ladies, literally every single eating habit I mentioned, applies to you as well. The more blood you can get pumping where you need and want it, the more you will feel and the more control you will have. Better sex equals more happiness and that’s the ultimate goal of my blog, Nakedhealthy. I want to help as many people as possible regain their happiness through health. It all starts with food. Be strong at the grocery store. That is where you need to have on your game face. If it ends up in your cart, it’ll end up in your tummy. I used to do it all the time. “Oh well, I’ll have this for later.” Yeah right! Two hours later I have chocolate on my face and I fall asleep. Have a plan before you get to the store and this will all become much easier. Couples should do this in tandem. Nothing better than getting hot together.

The hotel’s organic architecture embraces the striking beauty of the coastline. Each structure on the 100-acre property reflects dramatic lines and contemporary styling while blending into the landscape naturally. In addition to their distinctive look, the dwellings themselves represent an innovative green building approach, featuring bio-structure architecture and using natural materials of glass, wood, stone and COR-TEN steel, and, when possible, passive solar heat. The architects’ design was intended to make onlookers feel like a part of nature, not just observers of it. Every environmental aspect was carefully considered: for example, the earthsheltered guesthouses capture passive heating and cooling, and the small footprint of the stilts which support the tree houses protects the fragile roots of the ancient redwood and oak trees.
Other green initiatives include using hybrid Lexus vehicles to transport guests around the property; water is pumped on- site and bottled into renewable glass bottles; landscaping uses native plants and is drought-resistant. In addition, the grounds provide a habitat for the endangered Smith’s Blue Butterfly, California Red-Legged Frog, Western Pond Turtle and California Condor. Complimentary activities include yoga and meditation classes, guided nature hikes and garden tours and nightly star gazing on the deck at Sierra Mar using a computerized 12-inch Meade telescope. Post Ranch has one of the largest hotel telescopes in the U.S., and Big Sur offers some of the clearest atmospheric conditions for viewing the stars, nebulas, and even the rings of Saturn. love and MONEY
A PLENTIFUL PURSE
Article by Kristen Judd, Owner/CEO of Money Secrets
52 VENTRE
February is the “Month of Love” so let’s talk about how Love and Money work together. Each one of us has a particular money personality. It is something that is ingrained in us and really can’t be changed. Our Money Personality will dictate how we see money and how we make money decisions. Awareness is key! It will also affect our relationships – Partners for life, friendships and even business partnerships.
|
Entrepreneurial Lifestyle
WHICH MONEY PERSONALITY ARE YOU?
The 5 Money Personalities are Spender, Saver, Security Seeker, Flyer and Risk Taker. You will most likely be a combination of 2 of these personalities.
$AVER
trustworthy, saver, responsible, but can be a joy stealer because they are so focused on saving.
$PENDER
fun, likes to spend on others, budget buster, will have guilt after a spending spree.
RI$K TAKER
likes to try new things, big picture, my way or no way mentality, will spend to get things done.
$ECURITY $EEKER
researcher, boy scout mentality, likes a plan, can get stuck in a research rut, slow to make decisions, responsible
FLYER
not motivated by money, no skills around money, it is all about the relationship, who you’re going to spend time with.
You have probably identified with at least one of them, if not two. Here is the kicker: Ever heard of attracting your opposite? If we are attracting our opposite, can you imagine how easily different money language and money goals might clash? Can we agree and say that Money is emotional? It is so emotional, in fact, that we are willing to ruin relationships over it. It doesn’t only apply to marriage, but business and friendships as well. It’s no wonder that Money is one of the top reasons relationships implode? It becomes super powerful to not only understand your money personality, but money personality of your significant other as well. Now that we have agreed to a few things: 1. Money is important. 2. Money is Emotional. How do we make this work for us or against us? Well, to ignore these facts will no doubt work against you and will eventually end in disaster. Have you ever thought about having a “Money Date” once a month? The two of you get together (without kids or employees) and just talk Money. Talk about goals, problems, state of the union kind of stuff and things that might be coming up in the future. I know what you are thinking… that doesn’t sound super “HOT” for the Love month of the year. Maybe not, but I will tell you that when the finance piece is taken care of – it is amazing how “easy” everything else becomes. When the money situation isn’t right, it can affect our work, our relationships, and even our fun time. I think we have seen enough in our own personal lives whether it be through personal experience or watching a family member or close personal friend struggle with a financial crisis. I submit to you that saving is the “new sexy” and it is looking hotter than ever! I’m also going to give you permission. Permission for what? I permit that it is okay to talk about Money. It has been a taboo subject for far too long and now people are flocking to events to gain more knowledge about Money and how it works. I hope you find happiness in your bedroom, boardroom and your wallet this year!
