Celebrating 20 Years of Excellence
Dear Veritas Family and Friends, We are so grateful to you for being part of our community and supporting our school. Your generosity and commitment have enabled Veritas to thrive in its mission of preparing students for lives of service and learning for God’s glory. Like most independent schools, tuition does not fully cover the costs of delivering the exceptional Christ-centered education that defines our school. Additional resources are essential in allowing our school to excel and continue in our mission of providing students with the tools they need to become tomorrow's godly leaders. Your contributions play a significant role in supporting:
Missions Teacher Support Student Programs Fine Arts Athletics And so much more! Our goal for the 2023-2024 Annual Fund is to raise $175,000 and have 100% participation. Your donation to the Annual Fund ensures that our students have the best foundation for a lifetime of service, learning, and leadership for Christ. Thank you for your continued partnership! All gifts are meaningful, gratefully received, and collectively transformational. With deep appreciation,
Kim Berger Assistant Head of School

LANIER FAMILY On the backs of our children’s spirit shirts is the phrase “a foundation for life.” That message is why we love this school and prioritize giving our time and money to the work of Veritas. We have been a part of the Veritas community for nine years, with kiddos now in 8th and 1st grades. We chose to make Veritas our children’s academic home because it was clear that they would receive a firm faith and educational foundation rooted in the knowledge of God’s Word and its application in their lives. Throughout our time here, Veritas has kept the mission to be a Christ-centered school as its true north. Because of their faithfulness, our children have been loved, taught, and discipled well. For this reason, and the countless ways they have supported our family along the way, we make it a priority to respond just as faithfully to the asks of this school we love so much. We are the Laniers, and we support the Annual Fund.
NEWSOM FAMILY We have been part of the Veritas family for 10 years and the impact of the teachers, staff, and community on our children’s development has been a tremendous blessing. The ability to provide high-quality classical Christian education in a setting that reinforces a biblical worldview is something we don’t take for granted. As we disciple our kids, having a community of faith pulling in the same direction is critical given the distractions of the world. Veritas is important to our family, our city, and generations to come, and we are thankful for the opportunity to further the mission with our time and treasure!

Celebrating Missions I have completed community service every year since I was in the 5th grade. I received the President's Award for having 116 hours of community service last year in 7th grade. I enjoy working in the AV booth at my church for community service. I'm glad that Veritas is a place that encourages us to serve others. — Isaac Moses, 8th Grade
Celebrating Teachers I have learned a lot of information from my teachers, and they have made classes fun. For example, when teachers assign the class to do a project, it is exciting and educational. We learn different aspects of the topic and how to work with our classmates. I am thankful that I learned so many concepts about different subjects — Ethan Wade, from my teachers. 7th Grade

Celebrating Fine Arts At Veritas, students are offered a wonderful Fine Arts program including conservatory, band, choir, art, and advanced art. I have been in the conservatory program for eight years, playing the violin, and it has taught me patience, determination, a love for music, and a wonderful skill that I always strive to improve. I also take art and advanced art which gives me a chance to express myself, learn new techniques, and grow in that area of my life. Music and art have always been a safe place for me. I truly believe that Fine Arts are God's most beautiful gift to man.
— Elizabeth Holloway, 8th Grade
Celebrating Special Programs and Athletics I have really enjoyed participating in competitions like Math Olympics and Creative Writing contests. These programs have been a fun way for me to improve and showcase my skills outside the classroom. — Layla Yaltho, 8th Grade
Participating in track, basketball, and football with Veritas Athletics has helped me grow as an athlete and a person through the guidance of the inspiring coaches who lead us. I have really enjoyed the experience of playing sports with my friends.
— Aaron Lin, 8th Grade

Frequently Asked Questions What is The Annual Fund? The Annual Fund is an annual campaign focused on providing additional income for school-wide needs. These financial needs include technology enhancements, teacher professional development, fine arts, athletics, financial aid, and other operational and facility needs. The Annual Fund helps to bridge the budgetary needs of the overall budget. Doesn’t tuition cover the expenses of the school? Tuition alone does not fully cover the cost of educating a Veritas student. Approximately 10% of the operational budget is funded by annual giving; therefore, your gifts have a significant impact! Who gives to The Annual Fund? Members from every area of the Veritas community give annually to Veritas; this includes faculty and staff, board members, alumni, current families, grandparents, and other family members, as well as matching gifts from corporations and companies. How much should I give? Every gift is significant; therefore, we ask that each person participate at a level that corresponds to his or her circumstances. Our goal is 100% participation from every member of the Veritas community so gifts of every level are needed and appreciated! When should I give? Although you are able to give to Veritas at any time during the year (including the summer), we are asking that donations or pledges be made between October 24 November 11, 2023. Donations received by December 31, 2023, may be deductible in your 2023 taxes. You can give a one-time gift, give on a monthly basis, or give at a later date. How can I give? You can give in many ways! You can mail gifts to 7000 Ferris Street, Bellaire, TX, 77401, or drop them off in the school office. You can also give online by visiting www.veritasca.org and clicking the Donate Now link on our homepage to give a gift for the 2023-2024 Annual Fund. Are my contributions recognized? We recognize those who give to Veritas through our Annual Report unless gifts are given anonymously.
