Dear Veritas Family and Friends, Thank you for being part of our community and supporting our school. Because of God and generous people like you, Veritas Christian Academy continues to thrive in building a Foundation for Life in our students. The Annual Fund is essential to our mission because it supplies critical financial support for our students and teachers. Tuition alone does not cover the entire cost to educate our students. Additional resources are needed for our school to excel in providing a Christ-centered education to impact our students’ lives. Your gifts help support:

Missions Student Programs Fine Arts Teacher Support Athletics And so much more!

Your donation to the Annual Fund ensures that our students have the best foundation for a lifetime of service, learning, and leadership for Christ. Whether your donation is large or small, every gift makes an impact on our students. Our goal for the 2021-2022 Annual Fund is to raise $150,000 and have 100% participation. Would you help us continue to build a Foundation for Life in our students?

Please Say Yes!

Kim Berger Assistant Head of School

Steinbach Family Our family has had the privilege of being part of the Veritas community for the past six years. The teachers, staff, and other families have provided a nurturing, supportive environment for our daughters. We love that Veritas focuses on developing the whole child and helping each student grow into the person God has created them to be. In this environment, students are free to discover and learn not only how to be diligent scholars, but also how to be kind friends, community servants, and most importantly, followers of Christ. Please join us in giving generously to enable Veritas to continue to provide affordable, Christ-centered education to families in our city. The Steinbach Family David, Rebecca, Kate, Elisabeth, and Caroline

Missions

I’ve always enjoyed working to help my community by doing everything I can. When I do the little things like giving away some books, making sandwiches for the homeless, or providing for people through Samaritan’s purse, it’s always really fulfilling. All of these things have taught me to be a more gracious and generous Christian, and I feel a closer connection to God when I follow in His footsteps. ~ Joshua Alade, 8th Grade

Fine Arts

Veritas offers a variety of fine arts to students to help them flourish in different fields. These classes help expand a student’s knowledge of the past, boost creativity, and are overall fun classes to enjoy. ~ Alexis Burkhead, 8th Grade

The library, tech, and design thinking labs give me more room to grow in my studies. They allow me to learn in new environments, collaborating with my friends. ~ Avani Yaltho, 8th Grade

Teacher Support

g

The teachers at Veritas make the classes fun and interesting, especially in math and science. I also like that if you ever need help, all you have to do is ask. ~ Daniel Breitenwischer, 8th Grade

Athletics

The Veritas Athletics have really helped me in creating strong, lasting relationships. I played volleyball for the Rams for my 6th, 7th, and 8th grade experience, and I loved it. Everyone was nice, and the coaches were disciplined. Even through the losses and wins, we all came together as a team. ~ Ellen Moore, 8th Grade

Frequently Asked Questions What is The Annual Fund?

The Annual Fund is an annual campaign focused on providing additional income for school-wide needs. These financial needs include technology enhancements, teacher professional development, fine arts, athletics, financial aid, and other operational and facility needs. The Annual Fund helps to bridge budgetary needs of the overall budget.

Doesn’t tuition cover the expenses of the school?

Tuition alone does not fully cover the cost to educate a Veritas student. Approximately 10% of the operational budget is funded by annual giving; therefore, your gifts have a significant impact!

Who gives to The Annual Fund?

Members from every area of the Veritas community give annually to Veritas; this includes faculty and staff, board members, alumni, current families, grandparents and other family members, as well as matching gifts from corporations and companies.

How much should I give?

Every gift is significant; therefore, we ask that each person participate at a level that corresponds to his or her circumstances. Our goal is 100% participation from every member of the Veritas community so gifts of every level are needed and appreciated!

When should I give?

Although you are able to give to Veritas at any time during the year (including the summer), we are asking that donations or pledges be made between October 25 - November 12, 2021. Donations received by December 31, 2021, may be deductible in your 2021 taxes. You can give a one-time gift, give on a monthly basis, or give at a later date.

How can I give?

You can give in many ways! You can mail gifts to 7000 Ferris Street, Bellaire, TX, 77401, or drop them off in the school office. You can also give online by visiting www.veritasca.org and clicking the “Donate Now” link on our homepage to give a gift for the 2021-2022 Annual Fund.
