TRACK 3: OPTIMISE
Optimise On-Premises IT Infrastructure Today and Plan for Cloud Tomorrow
8
While nearly everyone recognises that cloud is the next model for IT, how can today’s on-premises infrastructure investments help simplify the transition to tomorrow’s cloud model? In this session, we will present six different infrastructurecentric use cases that help enterprise IT optimise for today while preparing for tomorrow. You will leave with a clear idea as to what next steps you can take to be ready for cloud.
Achieving Better Business Value for Database Workloads in the Enterprise Databases and the infrastructure they run on – typically deliver the most critical IT services in any organisation. And as we move into the cloud era, we must consider how to optimise these services for today as we plan for tomorrow. Learn how uniquely optimised infrastructure for Oracle Database can do a much better job than generic approaches in delivering: - Optimal performance - Integrated security - Minimal resource usage - Minimal operational effort - All with clear pathways to cloud
Optimise: Presentation Abstracts Engineered Data Protection for Oracle Databases If enterprise databases are critical IT assets, it only makes sense storage should deeply integrate with them. This is particularly true for protecting data as increasing cyber threats make moving beyond simple backup and focus on rapid data recovery even more critical. Learn how your Oracle storage investments, with integrated cloud-converged technologies, have cloud insurance so you can optimise your storage and recovery strategies for today as you plan for tomorrow.
Building a Better Private Cloud Self-assembled and converged solutions that make up typical generic application infrastructure are designed to treat all applications equally. And the hard truth is that not all workloads are created equal. This one-size-fitsall approach is wasteful and expensive, and starves your most demanding applications of the critical resources need to meet business requirements. In this session, learn how Oracle’s purpose-built application infrastructure enables you to optimise for both performance and cost in a unified, better private cloud approach.
Big Data Made Easy The benefits from Big Data Analytics can be enormous, but so are the headaches in building and managing Hadoop clusters. The business is looking for results, so how do you deliver big data infrastructure quickly without the immense work normally required? We will cover Oracle’s Big Data infrastructure solutions that eliminate 51 steps in creating a Hadoop cluster, and that allows you to choose traditional on-premises solutions, public cloud and/or public cloud behind your firewall.
Streamline and Simplify your Database Infrastructure and Get Cloud-Ready Most IT leaders know they need a cloud strategy—and soon—but are frustrated with the incomplete solutions the industry has brought forward so far. Are you looking for a way to create a private database cloud that will provide the rapid provisioning, elasticity, security, and easy management that you have heard about? In this session we will discuss how Oracle Database Appliance along with Oracle Multi-tenant can help to create your private database cloud.
Modernise UNIX Infrastructure In most organisations, UNIX applications mean businesscritical applications. You don’t want to abandon their legacy apps investments but can you bring modern cloud capabilities to them? Learn about the many benefits that come with innovative SPARC technologies: better security, faster response time, and improved price/performance world’s only public cloud for UNIX.
