CAREER PLAN Career goals My final goal of my career is to eventually become a full-time freelancer with my own business. My biggest passions in the world of illustration include risograph printing, fashion and music, and these are areas I’d most like to be involved in during my freelancing. In 5 years time, I’d like to own a art&plant shop/ riso workshop space which would tie together all my biggest interests - illustration, risograph, illustrated products for sale curated by me, plants and workshops. AM I READY?
Risograph
Hato Press, Duplikat Press, Risotto, Rabbits Road Press, Before Breakfast, Hibernant Studio
my biggest passion within illustration, internships after graduation, own a risograph studio in the future
I’ve done plenty of riso printing myself and I think an internship would definitely give me the information I need right now
Freelance
Scriberia, It’s Nice That, album covers, murals, publications, Baobab publishing, 82 Book and Design Shop, ArtAttack
I eventually want to become a full-time freelance illustrator, mainly with focus on risograph printing
I’ve had a good start in the freelance world in 2018-2019, but I’m definitely not ready for being a full-time freelancer yet
Fashion
Lucy & Yak, Everpress, Lazy Oaf, ethical and sustainable brands
these brands often collaborate with illustrators and I think my style would fit the aesthetic, plus they mostly fulfill my values
I feel ready for self-printed t-shirt selling, but nothing huge yet - I will be contacting Everpress later this year
Curation
internships in smaller galleries (Nedbalka in Bratislava), work experience at LUSTR festival in Prague
I want to be able to eventually organize and curate my own illustration events - festivals, markets, exhibitions
this is definitely a goal for further future - I’m not planning on focusing on curation any time soon

Etsy – selling on Etsy introduced me to the world of business. I have had buyers from the UK, mainland Europe,
the US, and I’m constantly creating new work to sell. Having started quite early on, while still at uni, was a
great chance for me to learn the basics of selling before starting a more serious business as an illustrator.
-
UCA Winter Market - following my successful Etsy experience, I tried out selling my products at a market as
well. I had my first ever interactions with buyers, and learned how important it is to be chatty.
