Take a seat on the Assembly Sofa, our first modular sofa system. Foam free and manufactured in the UK with a focus on sustainability.

The Assembly Sofa system is made up of a series of sofa modules that can be combined in endless configurations. Its adaptability and finish options make it equally at home in office, co-working, hospitality and residential spaces, with integrated or freestanding tables and optional power and data points adding further flexibility.

Sofa Configurations

The design’s central element is an exposed solid timber frame on metal or timber legs that comes in 3 sizes: single-, two-, and three-seater.

Adding a seat element to the single frame produces an ottoman; adding a back and sides creates an armchair. Other standard modules are the traditional 2- and 3-seater sofa, with- or without arms.

The wooden frames can be joined to make larger linear or corner configurations. Arm and back elements can be added in any position. Backs on the same frame can even face in opposite directions to create a dynamic solution for lobbies and open plan spaces.

Our filling is 100% natural and made up of coco-fibre, natural latex rubber and wool – a sustainable alternative to conventional petrochemical-based foams. Tested for comfort and durability. Our solid timber frames use sustainably sourced timber.

Each element of the sofa can be individually repaired or replaced or broken down for end-of-life recycling.

Available in a range of upholstery fabrics including 100% renewable fibres or fabrics using post-consumer plastic or recycled fibres.

Design Details

The solid timber frame gives a warm and natural feel, whilst the option of powdercoated steel legs gives a pop of colour.

Arm and back components of the sofa system perch neatly onto the solid ash frame to give a clean, simple and elegant silhouette. The solid timber or contrasting powder-coated steel legs allow for an all natural look or contrasting finish.

Our generously padded seat cushions, backs and arms are filled with a combination of coco-fibre, natural latex rubber and wool. The top layers of natural rubber and wool make for a very soft cushion whilst the layer of coco-fibre below gives stability and supports the seating position. Each seat is then placed on an individual webbed frame for additional comfort.
