A STRAIGHT LINE TO LIFE-CHANGING SUPPORT Veterans Community Project serves all Veterans in the Kansas City metropolitan area, not just those experiencing homelessness. Many Veterans fail to receive the support services they need because access to them is complex and difficult to navigate. According to a recent study, 14 of the 20 Veterans who die by suicide on a daily basis are not connected to the VA or other support agency. The Veterans Navigation Campus will harness the collective power of Kansas City's Veteran services community, creating a straight line to life-changing support. A coalition of trusted partners - nonprofit agencies and local businesses - will offer assistance to Veterans within their respective areas of expertise: housing, emergency assistance, mental health, legal aid, substance abuse, healthcare, job skills/ workforce development, VA navigation, and more. By combining resources and working collaboratively, the resident partners of the Veterans Navigation Campus will provide targeted, comprehensive care for Veterans in one setting. (cont.)
As the host agency, VCP will offer satellite office and programming space to resident partners free of charge. To date, over 30 service agencies have expressed interest in joining the Veterans Navigation Campus, including: • The Battle Within • The United States Department of Veteran Affairs • Vietnam Veterans of America With lower barriers to service, VCP strives to not only prevent Veteran homelessness but radically impact the crisis of Veteran suicide in our community.

Just as VCP’s tiny house village has become a national model for Veteran’s transitional housing, we are innovating a community-wide service model in Kansas City that will serve as a blue print for future VCP campuses across the country.
When I hit my lowest point and finally decided to seek help, I quickly realized that I didn’t actually know how to do that. VCP guided me through the process and made sure I got the help that I needed.”
Phase I of the Veterans Navigation Campus’ 10.7 million dollar capital campaign is currently underway.
