HANDYMAN NEEDED
Are you good with your hands? The VFC is looking for a volunteer handyman to help with crafting some award frames for the VFC's upcoming 75th Anniversary Dinner Gala. If you'd like to help and have the tools and know-how, we can handle the supplies. Contact Marcel at the club or by email at marcelpoland@flyvfc.com.
Talk about aging gracefully! This year, the VFC is turning 75 and to celebrate the club is holding a dinner gala event at the Wardroom at CFB Esquimalt. Join us on November 20th, 2021 for a truly memorable night. Save the date: we'll be expecting you! More details will be forthcoming as we have them.

The organizers of the BBQ social would like to offer a big shout out to all of the volunteers and staff who made BBQ on August 28th possible! A special thank you to Marius for organizing this event on behalf of the Social Committee. After 18 months of COVID-19, getting back to some semblance of normal was a real victory and we can't wait to do it again! Speaking of which...

If you have any family members or friends who you've been trying to aviation, the open house is a great way to introduce newcomers into our shared passion! It's also a great way to spend time with kids and get out of the house on a Saturday afternoon with the family.

exciting rebuild project of a Beechcraft 95 twin-engine aircraft where visitors will learn how old aircraft can be transformed into a modern glass cockpit trainer. Door prizes include an hour of flight time with one of our of flight instructors for the general public as well as a free 1.5 hour use of one of our recreational aircraft for members. There will be a BBQ on site that will serve food and drinks for a modest price from 11:30 pm to 1:30 pm. You'll also be able to enjoy yourself in comfort knowing that Provincial vaccine safety procedures will be followed throughout the event. The open house will run rain or shine, so come and spend the day with us. We're all looking forward to seeing you there!
If you have or know teens who might be interested in aviation, they can get career guidance from School District 61. The University of Victoria will also be on site with information about their Diploma in Business Administration for Aviation. The open house is also scheduled to have the following guests and representatives 6

PPL #21-13: August 27 – Oct 08/2021: Mondays, Tuesdays, & Fridays (18:00 - 21:30)
COMMERCIAL PILOT LICENCE GROUND SCHOOL Individual scheduling requests are available for Private Pilot Licence, Commercial Pilot Licence, Mountain Awareness Training (MTA), Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (Drone) Courses (RPAS) by request.
