Educating Young Minds for 101 Years

With a focus on faith, academics, and character, the school is flourishing with enrollment, renovations, and creative thinking in it's staff and students. This summer the school will break ground and newly renovate 2 science labs! Students will enjoy a modern pristine lab environment to explore all kinds of science based areas of study.

Lacordaire is a warm, intimate, tight-knit school community that is like a family. The school is rooted in the Catholic Dominican tradition which promotes social justice, community service and environmental understanding. The diversity at Lacordaire attracts international students, as well as students of all faiths and backgrounds. The Academy is a coeducational school from pre-kindergarten through grade 8, but women only for high school.

The three acre campus provides a beautiful landscape for the school's 280 students. Teachers often conduct class outside on beautiful days and navigate the campus not only for play and exploration, but for learning. Director of Admissions, Saydi Callahan Keefe says, "Lacordaire is a wholesome place that nourishes the innocence and joy in children. We allow them to embrace childhood and natural growth, while also preparing them for the outside world and it's challenges. Lacordaire instills a love of learning and community in our students… and they know that the staff deeply cares about them and their families."
