Welcome Dear Rosary Families and Friends, On behalf of the faculty, staff, and administration of Rosary High School, I would like to welcome you to the 21st Annual Candlelight Ball - Loyal to the Royals. Through the years, the Candlelight Ball has always been the single largest fundraising event of the school year. It has also been a wonderful community building event where everyone in the Rosary community can come together, renew old friendships, make new ones, and support Rosary, all at the same time. We hope tonight’s event will accomplish all three for each of you. We want to thank all the sponsors, donors, businesses, and countless volunteers for their contributions in making tonight’s event a success. On behalf of Rosary High School, I express our deepest gratitude to Mrs. Becky Barr, Director of Special Events and Volunteers. Her energy, enthusiasm, ideas, and leadership is an inspiration to all. Please take a moment and look at the sponsors and advertisers in the program who have supported our event. When the occasion arises, we hope that you will choose to do business with them as a way of saying thank you for their support. The heart and soul of Rosary High School has always been and will always be the people who come together as a community. The future is bright, and we have much to look forward to. Thank you for being here tonight. I appreciate all you do to support the mission of Rosary High School and look forward to your spirited bidding tonight! Sincerely,

Amy T. McMahon Head of School

Auditorium Upgrades We are blessed to have such a beautiful performing and gathering space at Rosary in our McEnroe Auditorium. This space is used daily by many students and is a regular gathering place for the whole school. It is used not only for performing arts such as concerts, plays, and musicals, but for All-School Mass, Dominican Preacher Reflections, School Assemblies, Dominican Preacher Megan O’Brien (‘22) the Talent Show, Wacky at All-School Mass Wednesday competitions, the Junior Ring Blessing, the Senior Blessing, and the Candle Rose Honors Convocation. Stage Lighting Upgrade To keep the technology in the Auditorium up to date, we will continue to replace current lighting with LED lights that will cover the entire stage and offer crispness and brilliance. This lighting upgrade will showcase the many talents of our Rosary students. We will also upgrade the data distribution system to provide state-of-the-art lighting control to these fixtures.

The lighting upgrade will provide better coverage for the entire stage and will allow for color options.

Shrek The Musical, November 2021. Full LED lighting coverage and colors for every student is currently only made possible by renting outside equipment for thousands of dollars each year.

Benefits of the Lighting Upgrade • Provide better coverage for the entire stage • Save money on renting additional lighting for musical • Be more energy efficient; save on electricity • Allow for color lighting options • Allow for other special effects on an as-needed basis • Replace older and discontinued equipment

The auditorium is the place where the sisterhood is established, celebrated, and perpetuated.

Paddle Raise This year’s Paddle Raise is dedicated to upgrading the lighting in Rosary’s McEnroe Auditorium to energy-efficient LED Lighting. Our goal for this evening is $25,000. We hope you will help us fund this project in the paddle raise.
