HEY DIVISION 62!

"

It’s back to school season already? Gee, where did summer go?! I hope you all had a fantastic summer because it is now time to say good-bye to summer and a big hello to the new Key Club year! As the school year begins, we tend to stress ourselves with the crazy load of homework, AP classes, ACT/SAT, extracurricular activities, and/or work. But we must not forget, a new school year means a new year of Key Club filled with new and old members and filled numerous of service projects! I’m super excited to see our division grow and flourish this upcoming school year! I am looking forward to meeting and getting to know all of you! Please feel free to contact me, by all means, if you have any questions, comments, concerns, or if you just want to talk! In caring service,

Vicky Nguyen "

Divisional Executive Assistant

Michelle Yan Hey hey Division 62!

"

Wow, summer flew by fast, and for some, school is just around the corner. Regardless, I hope all of you had a fun and memorable summer! While we all mourn about the upcoming school year, on the plus side, a new school year calls for a new Key Club year! This is a great time for recruiting freshmen or any potential members before your first Key Club meeting. Don't forget to make it fun but also informative, let's start the new year off strong! I am more than excited to watch each and every club flourish! -

Yvette Louie Hey hey hey Division 62! I have a question…. HEY KEY CLUBBERS HOW DO YOU FEEL!? Shoutout to those who came out to the Joint August DCM! It was a great way to end summer! Wow I can’t believe summer has came to an end! I hope all of you made new memories during these past 3 months. With everyone going back to school now I know it may not be too exciting to be back, but it can actually be an exciting time during the year! You can see your friends, go to football games, pep rallies, and start up a new year of Key Club! This is a great time to recruit new members, be more involved in your club, more service projects during the year, and Key Club meetings will be back and running again! I hope you get to know each other, your fellow members, your officers, and your advisors too! With that being said I also hope you enter your first Key Club meeting with a positive mindset and ready to serve! New memories, new members, and new goals! Good luck and have a wonderful new school year Panthers! If you have questions or just want to chat feel free to contact me. -

INTERNATIONAL UPDATE

The Committee for Growth and Outreach (CGO) is currently assessing the status of clubs outside of North America and the Caribbean. They are looking into methods that could be used to track their membership and the number of active clubs. CGO will also be investigating ways in which to engage those clubs as well as ways to better include our current districted clubs that are outside of the United States.

The Committee for Internal Development (CID) is focusing on the following directives: reviewing the Key Club magazine Survey from last year and figuring out how we can apply positive changes to the Key Club magazine for future years, brainstorming ways we can streamline our existing resources via the International Website, & working with the Service/YOF committee to promote our Preferred Charities.

The Committee for Service and Youth Opportunities Fund (CSYOF) will primarily be work ing with the overall promotion of service, the p r o m o t i o n o f t h e Yo u t h O p p o r t u n i t i e s Fu n d , a n d ultimately, the reviewing and granting o f Yo u t h Opportunities Fund applications.
