CELL 13
He hates life in prison. He is a young man. He is alone in his cell, there is nobody with him.
He can’t sleep in the cell alone. He has bad dreams. He thinks there is a man next to him. The prison is very old and horrible. He hears “knock, knock, knock” and he thinks is Ball, the man in the other cell.
He can’t sleep, he is very tired. He hears noises from the other bed. Someone is moving in the night.
He is making a model ship. He likes making this model in the evening but he doesn’t like the night.
He is in the library. He is copying a poem for his girlfriend. Smithy, an old prisoner, says there is a ghost in the cell.
He wakes up on the floor. The night is very cold. He starts to work in his ship. He doesn’t want go back to bed.
At night a voice says the name of the prisoner “Jason”. He is afraid and he starts to shout. The police calls the doctor.
The voice comes again and somebody touches Jason’s arm. He wants to see the doctor. The doctor doesn’t believe Jason, no-one believes Jason.
The ship is broken, it was the ghost. The ghost is a boy, like Jason. The ghost is looking at Jason and he touches his arm. Jason is terrified.
The ghost comes again. He takes off the shirt and put it around his neck. He hangs himself. He commits suicide. He tells Smithy about the ghost. He thinks Smithy knows something about the ghost. Smithy doesn’t say anything. He doesn’t know what can happen tonight.
This is a diary of a young prisoner called Jason Hills. It was on his bed in the morning of Saturday 14th March, 1992. The prisoner hanged himself with his shirt and committed suicide on the night of Friday the 13th.
