BottleWorks in Johnstown To Host a College Student Gallery JOHNSTOWN, PA, (November 2, 2015)- BottleWorks will be presenting a Student Gallery on February 20th, 2016. College students have a chance to be displayed, sell or commission their work, and win prizes. The event will be located at the main BottleWorks center in the Cambria Cultural District of Johnstown. Ten students will be awarded certificates and prizes in five categories: painting, drawing, multimedia art, photography, and sculpture. First place winners in each category will be awarded a certificate and monetary prize. Second place winners in each category will receive a certificate. Judges are to be determined but due to the BottleWorks’ large network of artists and teachers, they are sure to be qualified. “We are really excited to give students a spotlight,” said Angela Rizzo, Executive Director of BottleWorks since last April. Rizzo continues saying, “College students often don’t get the chance to display their work in their university environments.” “BottleWorks is always looking for new talent,” Rizzo added, “and the center is looking forward to more student attention.” If students are looking for an opportunity to sell their work, BottleWorks is a great way to facilitate that. Past exhibits often sell dozens of pieces and the top student prizes are to be monetary.
