Anything. As long as you believe. That's the way I look when I get home late; black and blue. Let's give him a friend too. Everybody needs a friend. Just think about these things in your mind and drop em' on canvas. How do you make a round circle with a square knife? That's your challenge for the day. Get tough with it, get strong. Think about a cloud. Just float around and be there. I really believe that if you practice enough you could paint the 'Mona Lisa' with a two-inch brush. You create the dream then you bring it into your world. This is truly an almighty mountain. Let's put a touch more of the magic here. Mark E. FAQ’s What is a community foundation?
A nonprofit organization that receives charitable gifts from people, grows those gifts, and awards grants and scholarships to people in a specific geographic area.
How did the Foundation get started?

The Foundation was started in 1990 by a group of civic leaders who thought our region needed a vehicle for people to provide for the community in ways that were important to them.
How many donors gave to the Foundations? ######
How are funds invested?
How much was awarded in grants? ######
Funds are invested through Cornerstone Advisors Asset Management, Inc. Donors have the option of recommending advisory services. Most, but not all, funds are permanently endowed.
What is an endowment? An endowment is an investment in the future. Your endowment is never spent, and a portion of your return is used annually to make grants to the causes of your choice.
How do students apply for scholarships? In most cases, the first step is to inquire with their high school counselors or principals as to available scholarships. You can also search our website by school district for available scholarships. Many of our scholarship applications can now be filled out online.
How do nonprofit organizations receive grants? They can apply online for grants from our Distribution Committee Funds twice a year (deadlines are the last Fridays in January and August) at www.cfalleghenies.org.

We just let this flow right out of our minds. We tell people sometimes: we're like drug dealers, come into town and get everybody absolutely addicted to painting. It doesn't take much to get you addicted. No worries. No cares. Just float and wait for the wind to blow you around. Just make a decision and let it go. You don't want to kill all your dark areas they are very important. Everyone is going to see things differently - and that's the way it should be. Everybody needs a friend.

Types of Funds Donor Advised
Donor Designated
These funds provide donors with a 100 percent tax deduction for the original and any subsequent gifts. Each year, the donor suggests deserving charities to benefit from the fund’s income or principal.
These funds allow donors to support the work of up to three specific charitable organizations and are responsive to changing circumstances.
Field of Interest
Partnership
This allows the donor to support issues of concern, such as the environment, the arts, health, children, or education.
These funds allow donors to make a gift to the Community Foundation that then “passes through” to their favored charity. This may be appropriate when anonymity is important or when many gifts are planned for a single asset.
Scholarship
Unrestricted
These funds allow a donor to define the scholarship’s advisory committee, guidelines for candidate selection, and award use. Scholarships can benefit a particular educational institution or field of study.
Undesignated funds are created by donors with broad charitable interests. They do not support any one purpose; instead, they are flexible to support the changing needs of our communities. Typically, undesignated funds are entrusted to the Foundation’s Distributed Committee for grantmaking.

Agency
This is for donors who wish to invest in the work of the Community Foundation and further its charitable purposes by helping to defray its expenses. The long-term goal of the Community Foundation is to be supported entirely by its administrative endowment fund.
Specific nonprofit organizations establish a fund for which the income earned promotes its ongoing mission, builds a nest egg, and attracts future endowment gifts.
