Group Social Media Distribution Platform Profiles - Snapchat Creator Channel, Youtube Channel and IGTV (Instagram). They can post group videos and content as they go through the process of submitting their content, developing their ideas and producing their film. This will act as good PR for your program and act as a form of marketing that can grow over time as new students come and post their experiences and videos onto the various social media platforms. It will keep the students working on putting out content and focused on the main goal: “Creating their films. Virtual Backpack - Food Groupons/discounts, safe storage space for ideas/content and amobil phone to utilize these assets. Support network - Website or central hub where both the accepted or submitting students can mingle, share resources and feel apart of a community. This tool allows students to connect with their peers and mentors for guidance and production planning.

COMPELLING SUGGESTIONS TO ENTICE STUDENTS TO SUBMIT FILMS: Money is well in good but doesn’t last or help get students into a lasting career within the Film and Entertainment Industries. As students we recommend offering actual opportunities and rewards that would help students in the long run rather than be another cash grab competition. Here are our suggestions: Mentorship Program - “Set For Festivals:” A follow up with a PR mentor to help winning applicants submit their project to film festivals. Similar to Sun Dance. The mentor helps you go through the process of submitting your content to film festivals, submitting scripts for funding and choosing the right deals that get put on the table for a week. Apprenticeship Program: Opportunity to be apart of a Fellowship Film Project. Have 10-15 slots open, they can be customizable for the areas they want to work on production. Like XR, Post Production roles, Pre production roles and etc. A mentorship program that will take the winner and follow up winner submissions and helps students turn them into a feature length film to be pitched and potentially filmed. An Internship Opportunity to work as a student advocate for the Submittable program for AT&T SHAPE Film Awards in 2020.

(NOTE: Young people love to party and socialize. And big names always attract a crowd. WE further suggest having special events be rewards.) Networking party, meeting famous people and showcasing their screening. A screening event at HarBbeat Studios or AT&T facility. Where the winners’ films would be showcased and the winners would have the chance to meet with and talk to bigwigs about their film. Tickets to a screening a new movie being released. The opportunity to go to a first Screening at a major movie. The moment of stardom that everyone dreams about. Where they could walk the red carpet, get their photos taken and be somebody for an evening. NOTE: Equipment, Software and other production tools to expensive for broke students to afford will entice students who are serious about getting into the film and tech industries. We highly recommend that you include these sorts of awards as they will attract and equip winners with the tools they need to continue developing as filmmakers.
