Viejas Casino & Resort Announces Mai Johnson as Director of Resort Sales Johnson brings more than 16 years of hospitality experience to the role SAN DIEGO (July 31, 2017) – Viejas Casino & Resort has announced veteran sales and hospitality expert Mai Johnson has joined the team as Director of Resort Sales. Mai brings more than 16 years of experience to the position. In her role, she will direct sales strategies for convention and leisure sales and be a key contact with hospitality organizations. “Mai’s creativity, drive, and leadership are incomparable,” said Viejas Vice President, Hotel Ricky Borja. “She’s greatly respected within the industry and thrives on challenges. I look forward seeing her bring our reach in the convention and leisure markets to the next level.” Viejas Casino & Resort is a regional destination for conventions and business groups, featuring state-ofthe-art meeting spaces ranging from 600 square feet to 11,000 square feet. Mai most recently was the National Sales Manager for Bellagio Resort in Las Vegas, a MGM Resorts International property, where she oversaw the northeast territory with a major focus on the finance and insurance markets. Previously, she served as Associate Director of Sales for Luxor Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
