Dear Friends and Clients, We at Village Properties hope this Market Report finds you well and are taking care of yourself and loved ones. I thought I would share what our staff and agents have been doing for the past month. As ordered, our staff were sent home the week of March 16th and have been working remotely. I must say I am so proud of our staff in so many ways. They have put their job descriptions aside and are doing whatever they can to support our agents. One of our many goals at Village Properties is to keep our entire staff employed during this difficult time. The activities of our agents has drastically changed with the banning of open houses, caravans, price sets and meetings. I am happy to say, we had all the technology in place needed in order to switch to virtual marketing, using social media to market our listings to prospective buyers. We are still using print media as we see its importance to some consumers. Staying connected to each other is extremely important and our virtual meetings via Zoom do that for us. Our affiliations with Leading Real Estate Companies of the World, Luxury Portfolio and Mayfair International have given us even more tools and a broad reach to accomplish what we need to serve our clients.
We are pleased that Real Estate has been identified as an essential service by Homeland Security. This gives us an opportunity to serve buyers and sellers who have the need to buy and sell during this time. We are sensitive to our clients needs and emotions and are listening to what feels comfortable to them. We continue to conduct our business virtually, but on those occasions where this is impossible, we are using all safety precautions including social distancing and careful sanitizing. Our Community is very much on our minds and we continue to do what we can to support our restaurants with take out orders and local businesses by shopping online.
