Dear Friends and Clients, As we begin Summer of 2020, like so many other businesses in our community, the Real Estate market continues to evolve daily. At the time of this report, Village Properties has conducted 11 weekly company meetings via Zoom. We miss our regular in-person meetings at Chase Palm Park, but are happy we have the technology to communicate and stay current with everything that is happening in the Real Estate market and within our communities. We are excited to announce that on Monday, June 1st, Village Properties officially re-opened our offices, with all the California government, OSHA and County safety requirements in place. It feels so good to be open, even if it is only to perform essential activities that cannot be performed digitally or virtually. In the past few weeks our market has become very active. Some of this is due to listings and sales that were either withdrawn from the market or fell out of escrow due to COVID 19, and have now been re-listed. We are grateful for the activity, especially for our buyers and sellers who need to buy and sell. One of our local escrow companies reported that many of the buyers are from out of town, coming to our communities from more densely populated areas.
We look forward to some upcoming events planned by Village Properties later in the year. We continue to support our local teachers through our Teacher’s Fund. In October, we will be having another fund-raising event, to raise much needed funds for our local teachers to purchase basic supplies for their classrooms. The event may need to be virtual this year and we will be sure to keep you posted. As always, we will be supporting the American Heart Association at the Heart Walk in September.
