Located 35 miles from Santa Barbara is the Danish Village of Solvang, or “Little Denmark.” Sunset Magazine placed Solvang among their “10 Most Beautiful Small Towns in the Western United States.” This town that was founded in 1911 by Danish Immigrants is now a popular, vibrant area for shopping, dining and wine tasting.
SANTA YNEZ
In the heart of the Santa Ynez Valley is the township of Santa Ynez, where the street is lined with building facades remenicient of an old Western town. Inside the buildings are modern and sophisticated shops and restaurants offering a variety of cuisine. Adjacent to the township is the Chumash Casino Resort which offers a hotel, live entertainment and gaming.
LOS OLIVOS
The historic town of Los Olivos is located in the Santa Ynez Valley, close to Highway 101. Los Olivos is a hub for wine tasting, and boasts excellent retaurants along with unique shops and art galleries.
